Manipal University admissions are provided either on the basis of an entrance exam or merit in the qualifying exam. The Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, Technology & Management, and Faculty of Humanities, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences are responsible for offering UG and PG courses at Manipal University. Some of the entrance exams accepted for Manipal University admission include NEET, NATA, JEE Main, GATE, etc. The university also conducts its own entrance exam: the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for admission to courses like BTech, BPharm, ME, BSc, etc. Manipal University conducts Department Test (DT) for courses like MSc, BDes, BHM, etc., and MET + DT for courses like M.Sc Clinical Psychology, IPM, BBA Hons, etc. 

Manipal University scholarship is provided to UG and PG candidates through 21+ categories. Some of the top scholarship schemes offered by the university are kalam-pai, freeship, and scholars scholarship for MBBS & BDS programmes. merit scholarship for postgraduate medical/ dental and super specialty programmes, freeship, scholar and achiever scholarship for BTech, etc. The university offers 44 courses at UG, PG, super specialty, and doctoral levels. Selection Based on Entrance Exam

• It is mandatory for the candidates to pass 10+2 level and qualify the respective entrance exams to be eligible for enrolling in different UG courses. 

1. For B.Tech., selection will be based on JEE Main or Manipal Entrance Test (MET) scores.
2. For B.Des., selection will be based on the scores obtained in MET/ Department test (DT). 
3. For MBBS and BDS, selection will be based on NEET UG/ MET/ DT scores.

• Seat Confirmation: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and qualifying the entrance exams are required to pay the first semester fees for their respective courses to confirm their seats.
• Reservation and Relaxation: There is no reservation based on social strata (i.e., Caste Reservation). Additionally, there is no existence of management quota as well.

Selection Based on Entrance Exam

• For M.Tech, selection will be based on the scores obtained in GATE, MET, or DT.
• For MD and MS admissions, selection will be based on NEET PG scores.
• For MBA, selection will be merit-based depending on CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores, Online Presentation & Personal Interview (PI)

Counselling Round: An online presentation and Personal Interview process will be conducted for candidates qualifying the entrance exams.

Seat Confirmation: Entrance exam-qualified candidates must pay the first semester fees for their respective courses to confirm their seats.

The admissions at Manipal University has begun and the application process can be completed through online mode. Manipal University admission will be done on the basis of the scores obtained in MET or state/national level entrance examinations. Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for Manipal University admissions:

Step 1: Go to the official admissions page of Manipal University @manipal.edu/mu/admission.

Step 2: Navigate through the homepage and click on the “Apply Now” tab provided in the centre of the home page. 

Step 3: If you are a new user, register yourself by entering details like name, email address, mobile number, state, city, program level applying for, stream, program, etc. If you are an already registered candidate, enter your Email ID and password to log in.

Step 4: Upload the required documents like Class 10 marksheet (in case of UG admission), 10+2 marksheet (in case of PG admission), Graduation marksheet, Transfer Certificate, copy of Aadhaar Card, and caste certificate (if applicable) among others.

Step 5: Finally, pay the registration fee of Rs 600 (for all courses) and Entrance Test fee of Rs 1400 (for selected courses only).
