The Institute is situated on a plot admeasuring 1.26 acres on West High Court Road in Bajaj Nagar, which is a prime location in the city. The Institute functions from an aesthetically designed and spacious three-storied building which allows ample ventilation with excellent acoustics. Besides adequate class rooms and two air-conditioned conference rooms, each faculty has independent workstations that facilitate undisturbed individual conference sessions with students. Each class room is equipped with well-designed furniture, overhead projectors and green boards. Classrooms are also equipped with LCD projectors. It has ample parking facilities and a spacious open ground for outdoor activities like sports and games.
The Institute has hostel facilities for women.
The MSSISW Library
The Institute has a well-stocked and fully computerised library and a very spacious reading hall. It has a total of about 20,000 titles related to social work and social sciences. All the latest books in the realm of social work are added to the library regularly. It also subscribes to INFLIBNET and more than 85 professional journals, published from India and abroad.
Internet facilities are provided to fee of cost to the students at the library. The library also has ‘book bank’ facilities, under which a specific number of books are issued to select students exclusively for their use throughout the academic session. The Library has also developed special sections on HIV/AIDS and social work research.
