The College has department-wise buildings with its huge infrastructure. campus is about over 25 acres of land.Campus having many kind of playgrounds with green lush lawns. Institute runs the undergraduate BE courses in the different disciplines like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology. All these departments have their own laboratories, having latest practical modules, costly equipments with ample floor area. Boy’s Hostel is within the college premises. It has the total intake capacity of 612, out of which 204 seats are kept reserved for BE / B Arch First year students.
Girl’s Hostel is 1 ½ Km away from the college premises. It is housed inside the professor’s colony. This ensures added security for the girls. It has the total intake capacity of 180, out of which 42 seats are kept reserved for BE / B Arch First year students.
NSS unit was established in the institution way back in the year 1999-2000. Presently, Dr. Sanjay M. Asutkar, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, is the Program Officer. Dr Rathore, Principal, MIET is the Chairman of NSS unit.
Under his (Prof Asutkar) able guidance & the leadership of Dr S. S. Rathore, the NSS unit has achieved the different milestones in its functioning.
• Dr S. M. Asutkar has received the Best NSS Program officer award, from RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur on October 24, 2011
• Dr S. M. Asutkar has received the Best NSS Program officer award, from Maharashtra State on June 04, 2013.
• Mr Prashant Patle, Final yr student of Computer Technology was adjudged the Best NSS Volunteer by RTM Nagpur University in the session 2011-12
• There are total 250 students who registered as NSS volunteer as on day today that includes girls 110 / & boys 140.
Basically the NSS unit at the institute organizes two different types of activities viz;
(a) Regular activities
(b) Special camping programmes
In regular activities, various social and useful activitities are organized such as Blood Donation Camp, Public Awareness Programme, NSS Day Celebration, Shramdan.
In special camping programme, a village is adopted for two years and various activities as well as 10 days special camp is organized in the adopted village.
NSS Activities
1. Tree plantation and conservation in the college campus and adopted village Fatehpur.
2. Blood Donation Camp.
3. Lecture series on different topics on personality development, importance of NSS, Traffic rules & regulation, Rainwater harvesting, Drip Irrigation method.
4. NSS day celebration with Andha-Shradha-Nirmulan.
5. On the eve of Environment Day Vrakchadindi Rally
6. Aids Awareness campaign.
7. NSS summer special work against public awareness on the topic such as superstitions, health related, snake bites, misunderstanding.
8. Essay competition on The Role of Youth to Preserve the Environment.
9. Peoples positive approach on Environment programme organized.
10. General diagnostic programme in the adopted village Fatehpur.
11. Rally on Environmental awareness and clearness.
12. Special camp organized under which special programe taken on Jal Swarajya for Yuva Jal Sarankshan.
And also carry out the work on watershed management by applying and constructing the standard size pits on the heel of the mountains.
Rainwater harvesting is also applied in the adopted village as well as college campus
