The residence hall is the nucleus of a harmonious community environment. It has a long standing tradition of celebrating multi cultural and ethno-religious diversity. It is a home away from home.
The National Cadet Corps engages the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. At present the college has students registered for B Certificate and C Certificate Courses. The cadets attend several mandatory and extra camps and thus they train themselves to be more organized, responsible and motivated youth who will be available for the service of the nation.
The National Service Scheme is an Indian government sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. The Scheme was launched in Gandhi Centenary Year in 1969 with an aim to develop personality of students through community service and sensitize them to the problems of society. It inculcates the spirit of voluntary work among students and teachers through sustained community interaction. Such activities bring academic institutions closer to society thus bridging the gap between campuses and community, the college & village and knowledge & action. At present college is running four NSS units in college.
