NID DAT 2025 exam dates are not made official by the conducting body i.e., the National Institute of Design (NID) for the 2025 academic year. However, it is suggested that the official notification mentioning the important dates of NID DAT will be released in September 2025. The important dates for this entrance exam will be announced on the official website, so students must keep checking the same along with this page. The tentative date for NID DAT 2025 Prelims for the BDes and MDes programmes is suggested to be in December 2025. NID DAT 2024: The National Institute of Design (NID) conducted the NID DAT 2024 to select students for their Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) programs across various campuses. The exam process consisted of two stages: DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Approximately 15,000 candidates participated in the DAT Prelims. Only those who were shortlisted from this stage advanced to the DAT Mains. The DAT Prelims, held on December 24, 2023, was generally considered to have a moderate level of difficulty, although some candidates noted that the paper was lengthy. Currently, the BDes program accepts 425 students across five campuses: NID Ahmedabad, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. Meanwhile, the MDes program offers 347 seats spread across three campuses: NID Ahmedabad, NID Gandhinagar, and NID Bengaluru.

NID Seat Intake and Reservation Policy: The National Institute of Design (NID) stands tall among the country's top design schools. Every year, the institute revises its reservation policy and seat allocation based on current needs. Back in 2019, all NID campuses collectively offered 100 seats for the B.Des program. But in 2020, they upped the ante by adding 28 more seats. Similarly, for the M.Des program, seats jumped from 275 to 347. Presently, there are 425 seats for B.Des and 347 for M.Des. Admissions to these courses hinge on the NID DAT 2024 entrance exam. Overseas candidates also saw an increase in available seats for both programs. Reserved category students like SC, ST, and OBC can apply through the open category or their specific one. To be considered for reservation, candidates must specify their category in the application. The criteria for reserved categories differ from the regular ones, and seats are allocated based on NID's policy across various disciplines. NID Placements 2024: The NID Placement Drive helps candidates do their best by providing them with the best resources and guidance. The placement drive is based on two parts - Graduation Project and Full-time Employment. The graduation project (final semester internship) is open for BDes students of the 7th semester and MDes students of the 4th semester. BDes and MDes students who are in their final semester qualify for full-time employment opportunities.

While preparing the rank list, equal weightage is given to the entrance exam score and qualifying exam score of the applicants. Candidates whose names appear in the TS B.Arch rank list are the ones who are deemed eligible for the further counselling process. After the release of the state rank list, candidates are called for the TS B.Arch counselling process.
