Overall: The overall review of my college that is NIT Rourkela will be on the positive side. This is because even though it lacks in some cases but has all the basic amenities and facilities that a student will be wanting in his/her college life.
Placement: Placements are always increasing at NIT Rourkela and this year only a student from the EI department got 1.2CR package which is the highest of all. The median package is around 13-14 LPA which is very decent one.
Infrastructure: The college is widespread across a total area of 1200 acres which comprises of the 600 acres of academic area and rest for roads and hostels. It has also got a new building that is 14 storey high and can accommodate many a classes at once.
Faculty: The faculty here is a mix of both the worlds. Some are very joyous and some are a bit low energetic. But if one will get to know them well all are great there is no doubt.
Hostel: Hostels are very decent here. There are a total of 11 hostels comprising of 7 boys hostels, 3 girls hotels and 1 for married couples. All hostels have internet connection upto 100Mbps and have basic amenities like gym, play-court, etc.
