How did Students React on JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Toughest Shift: Over 8 Lakh candidates appeared for the JEE Main Session 2 exam conducted from April 2 to 8. Each shift had its own level of difficulty, which varied on the student's preparation and strategy. After taking feedback from exam takers, mixed responses were received about the JEE Main Session 2. CollegeDekho ran an opinion poll asking students about the toughest shift for JEE Main Session 2. As per the feedback received from the candidates, April 4 – Shift 1 was the hardest shift of the JEE Main Session 2 exam. The reason for being the toughest shift is because of the presence of long calculus and algebra problems in maths and some tricky questions from organic chemistry. Some students also voted for April 4 – Shift 2 as the difficult shift. Subject experts has considered April 3 – Shift 2 as the hardest shift.

Talking about subjects, Mathematics was considered tricky, while chemistry was moderate and physics the easiest in JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Many candidates emphasized that Mathematics was the most challenging section so far due to lengthy calculation-based problems. Meanwhile, questions from Chemistry were moderate and NCERT-based, and Physics was also moderate and calculative.

As per the below pie chart, 70% students felt that the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam was tough. 



In Mathematics, the most asked topics were Conic Sections, Vector 3D, Binomial Theorem, Definite Integrals & Matrices & Determinants. In Chemistry, major questions were asked about Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, Biomolecules, IUPAC Nomenclature & Polymers. In Physics, most questions were from Ray Optics, Semiconductor, Electrostatics, Rotational Motion and Units & Dimensions. JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the JEE Main answer key for the April session anytime soon. Along with the release of the answer key, NTA will release the response sheet for the JEE Main exam. The expected date for the release of the answer key and reponse sheet is April 11 or 12, 2025. With this rank, candidates can explore a range of National Institutes of Technology (NITs) offering admission to specific academic programs. Engineering aspirants aiming for admission to prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs) with 150 marks in JEE Main 2025 can refer to the previous years' trends below to gauge their chances.

Expected NIT for 100 marks in JEE Main 2025: Candidates who are likely to score 100 marks in JEE Mains 2025 and are looking for admission to NITs can check the list of NITs that might offer admission. For the past few years, the category wise JEE Main cutoff for the NITs has been increasing, therefore, it is difficult for the general category candidates to get admission in NITs at their preferred programs. Based on the previous year’s JoSAA counselling report, the 100 marks in JEE Main is equivalent to 90.59+ percentile, with which the candidates can secure AIR 142500+ in JEE Main 2025 exam.
