As per the feedback received from the candidates, April 4 – Shift 1 was the hardest shift of the JEE Main Session 2 exam. The reason for being the toughest shift is because of the presence of long calculus and algebra problems in maths and some tricky questions from organic chemistry. Some students also voted for April 4 – Shift 2 as the difficult shift. Subject experts has considered April 3 – Shift 2 as the hardest shift.

Talking about subjects, Mathematics was considered tricky, while chemistry was moderate and physics the easiest in JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Many candidates emphasized that Mathematics was the most challenging section so far due to lengthy calculation-based problems. Meanwhile, questions from Chemistry were moderate and NCERT-based, and Physics was also moderate and calculative.
