| Eligibility criteria | The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) degree at the National Institute of Design (NID), Bangalore, are as follows: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board with any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts). Additionally, they must be below the age of 20 years (relaxable by three years for candidates from reserved categories) as of June 1st of the admission year. NID conducts an entrance examination, the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which is mandatory for all applicants. Shortlisted candidates from the DAT are further invited for a studio test and personal interview. The final selection is based on the combined performance in all these stages. |
