The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in India are as follows. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in the relevant field of study from a recognized university or institute. They should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or a CGPA of ,5 on a 10-point scale in their qualifying examination. However, a relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled categories.
