- Candidates applying for UG and PG programmes have to take the NIFT Entrance Exam.
- This exam has two sections, the CAT section (Creative Aptitude Test) and GAT section (General Ability Test).
- Those for B.Des and M.Des must take both the CAT and the GAT, whilst candidates for B.F Tech and M.F Tech must only take the GAT.
- Candidates for B.Des who have been shortlisted for the written entrance exam must take a Situation Test, which is a hands-on test that evaluates the candidate's material handling and inventive ability in a given situation with a given set of materials.
- The Jury will conduct an on-the-spot review of the test. The model will be destroyed and will not be available for future use.
- Candidates for PG Programmes who have been shortlisted after taking the NIFT entrance exam must participate in Case Study Group Discussions (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) to proceed with admissions.
- A panel of experts will assess the candidates on several factors during the GD, which will last about 15 to 20 minutes and consist of a discussion on a case study that has been assigned.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Navi Mumbai International Admission 2022:
National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai has 40 seats reserved for international candidates. Foreign Nationals (whether residing in India or abroad) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who are Indian citizens with an Indian passport and have temporarily migrated to another country for six months or more for work, residence, or any other reason and meet NIFT eligibility and admission requirements are also eligible to apply.
NRI category of candidates will not be needed to take the Entrance Exam. This category's eligible candidates will be chosen for admission to the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai based on their SAT/GMAT/GRE scores.

- For undergraduate programmes at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai, the maximum age limit is 24 years old as of August 1st of the year of admission. There is no age limit for PG programmes.
- All candidates must meet the academic requirements for the course they are applying for. If the degree/certificate was received from a university/board outside of India, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in New Delhi is required prior to admission.

- Candidates applying to the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai UG Programmes should arrange for their SAT scores to be sent directly from the College Board to the NIFT H.O. in New Delhi.
- SAT scores must be submitted to NIFT through the College Board by April 30, 2022. 7258 is the Designated Institution (DI) Code. Candidates should specify DI code: 7258 when registering for the SAT in order to have their scores sent to the NIFT Head Office in New Delhi.
- Candidates whose College Board SAT results have not been received may not be considered for admission in this category. The campus and programme will be assigned to successful candidates based on a merit list generated using the individuals' SAT scores and preferences.
- GMAT test results should be sent immediately to NIFT H.O. Delhi by candidates applying for Master of Fashion Management (MFM), while GRE test scores should be sent directly to NIFT H.O. Delhi by candidates applying for Master of Design (M.Des.).
- Candidates must select NIFT programs as a preference on the GRE/GMAT. Candidates who have not received their GRE/GMAT scores from Educational Testing Services/Graduate Management Admission Council may not be considered for admission in this category.
- The campus and programme will be assigned to successful candidates based on a merit list generated using the candidates' GRE/GMAT scores as well as their preferences. Candidates interested in this category should apply online using the approved Application Form.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Navi Mumbai Counselling Process 2022
In the month of May / June 2022, the NIFT website will have information on how successful applicants of the test process will be counselled, including the mode, dates, and procedure. Candidates are recommended to check the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai website on a frequent basis.
For the first counselling session, there will be no registration cost. Candidates would be required to pay a counselling fee of 5000 INR in order to proceed to the next round.
The seats will be assigned based on the candidate's merit rank. By downloading the counselling call letter from the internet, candidates will be allowed to participate in the counselling. Candidates must use their credentials, which include their Form Number, Date of Birth, and Password, to register.
There will be several rounds of counselling to fill in the gaps till seats are available. Seats in a domicile may be combined with seats in another domicile. after at least two rounds of voting in their respective categories counselling. Seats for OBC(NC), EWS, and PwD will be combined with seats in the Open Category after at least two rounds of selection counselling.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Navi Mumbai Exams Accepted 2022
The NIFT Entrance Test is compulsory for all candidates who wish to apply for UG and PG courses at NIFT, Mumbai. The entrance test has 2 main papers students must attempt. The exam is 2 hours for B.Des and M.Des and three hours for B.F.Tech, MFM and M.F.Tech courses. It is an MCQ-based exam.
- Admission to B.Des courses is based on CAT-50%, GAT-30% and NIFT Situation Test-20%.
- Students applying to B.F Tech have to give GAT.
- Admission to the Master of Design course is based on CAT-40%, GAT-30% and GD/PI-30%.

- Communication Ability and English Comprehension: This sub-test is designed to assess applicants' ability to communicate in English on a daily basis.
