NIT Andhra Pradesh Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

NIT Andhra Pradesh B.Tech admission for the academic year 2024 is done based on the candidate's performance in JEE Main. JEE Main 2024 Session 2 results has been released on April 24, 2024 by the NTA. GATE 2024 results has been made available on the official website of IISc Bangalore for admission to NIT Andhra Pradesh for M.Tech courses in the 2024–25 academic year. The round 1 seat allotments are going to be released in the month of May 2024. All interested parties must hold a graduate degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, business, or the arts in order to be able to enrol for GATE 2024. The exam is open to students who are currently enrolled in their third or final year of study for their degree. GATE CCMT, is a centralised admission process specifically designed for NITs and IIEST Shibpur. CCMT comprises 61 participating institutions including all NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and some IIITs & GFTIs.

NIT Andhra Pradesh Admission Dates 2024 - JEE Main

The admission process of NIT Andhra Pradesh starts with filling up of the application form. The registration process is done on the official portal of Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). To get registered for NIT AP, candidates need to fill in the required details accurately. After filling in the details, candidates need to pay the registration fee of Rs 1000 by e-challan.  Once the registration is successful, candidates are required to fill in their choices of branches and institutes in the descending order of their preference.  

NIT Andhra Pradesh admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, MS, MBA, and PhD courses is entrance exam-based. The programmes are offered in various specialisations. The selection criteria and total fee of the NIT AP courses are given.

NIT Andhra Pradesh Admission Criteria

B.Tech admissions:

NIT AP offers a B.Tech degree in eight specialisations. Admission to a four-year duration course is done on the basis of JEE Main. The basic eligibility to apply to the B.Tech programme is a minimum of 75% aggregate in Class 12. The total fee of the programme is Rs 5,44,900 (for the income group more than Rs 5,00,000). There are different fee slabs for all income groups.

M.Tech admissions:

NIT Andhra Pradesh M.Tech admission is strictly on the basis of the GATE exam followed by CCMT counselling. The eligibility is as per norms set by CCMT. The total fee of the two-year duration M.Tech programme is Rs 1,77,800.

MBA admissions:

NIT Andhra Pradesh MBA programme is offered in the General stream. The programme is offered in full-time mode and it is of two-year duration. Admission to the programme is based on scores of CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT or any other national level entrance test as declared by the institute.

MS (Research) admissions:

NIT Andhra Pradesh has recently introduced MS (Research) in all the eight specialisations of B.Tech. The basic eligibility of the MS programme is candidates must have done B.Tech with good academic records. Also, the candidate must be working on a regular basis in reputed research organisations.

PhD admissions:

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers doctoral programmes in twelve specialisations. The programme is offered in both full-time and part-time mode. The total fee of the full-time PhD programme is Rs 1,35,600 and the total fee of the part-time PhD programme is Rs 2,93,400. The part-time PhD programme is of a five-year duration and is meant for professionals. The basic eligibility of the PhD programme is candidates with a master’s degree in Engineering or a master’s degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology. Candidates who belong to the unreserved category must have secured 60% aggregate or (CGPA of 6.5) either at UG or PG level examination. The selection criteria of the PhD programme is GATE/ UGC NET.
