Aayaam is the Hindi Literary and Cultural Society of National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. The idea of having such a forum was conceived by Hemant Kumar, Anirudh Roy and Rahul Gadewadikar. As an outcome of their efforts, Madhushala - an online portal on the intranet of NIT Tiruchirappalli, came into existence during 2004-05.
This portal was primarily dedicated to the people who were willing to contribute towards Hindi Literature. The English Literary Society of NITT has no doubt a very odd name to go by, but equally eccentric are the geniuses that are a part of it. Kings in their domains of english literary events from quizzing to dumb charades, the club has scalped numerous events around the country at national level. The informal atmosphere in the club builds to its character along with the uniqueness of the reason behind the name titled after a painting made by one of our alumnus during a competition he turned up late for and had only mere 10 minutes left. No doubt, his smart interpretation saw him win first place and have his drawing immortalised as the logo of this club.
