NLIU Bhopal Admission 2025 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

NLIU Bhopal admission 2024 is open for different courses. The university offers admission to full-time law courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and certificate levels. At the UG level, admission to BA+LLB and B.Sc+LLB is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The CLAT examination is conducted every year by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). Candidates willing to apply for NLIU Bhopal admission to BA/B.Sc+LLB must register through the official website of CLAT. The Consortium of NLUs will release the NLIU Bhopal merit lists for selected candidates and conduct the counselling process. 

At the PG level, NLIU Bhopal LLM admission is based on merit scored in the CLAT PG exam. The registration, application and counselling process will be the same as CLAT UG. Apart from this, admission to the Master of Cyber Law and Information Security (MCLIS) and PhD is offered through the ‘All India Entrance Examination’. This exam is conducted by NLIU Bhopal and includes a written test along with a personal interview. NLU Bhopal admission to these courses is conducted through its official website.

The Consortium of NLUs will publish the CLAT 2024 second provisional list on Jan 8, 2024. Selected candidates can check the NLIU Bhopal merit list for round two and freeze their seats till Jan 12, 2024. Other important NLIU admission 2024 dates are mentioned below. 

NLIU Bhopal Admission 2024 Dates for CLAT 2024 

NLIU Bhopal admission to BA+LLB, B.Sc+LLB and LLM is based on the CLAT examination conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. The NLIU Bhopal offers admission to two UG courses, two PG courses, three PhD programmes and various short-term certificate courses. NLIU Bhopal LLB admission is based on the candidate’s performance in CLAT UG whereas admission to LLM is based on CLAT PG. Apart from this, NLIU Bhopal conducts its entrance exam known as the All India Entrance Examination for admission to MCLIS and PhD programmes. Below-mentioned is the NLIU Bhopal admission process for different courses.  

NLIU Bhopal Admission Process for CLAT Aspirants 

Registration: First, register for the CLAT UG/PG exam through the official website of CLAT (consortiumofnlus.ac.in.)

Taking the test: The second step is to appear for the CLAT UG/PG exam for that particular year.

Selection for Counselling: The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT invite list. Selected candidates need to register for CLAT counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs.

Registration for CLAT Counselling: Visit the CLAT’s official website and log in using your credentials. Now, select colleges based on your preferences. Select NLIU Bhopal as your first choice. You can modify your prefrences later but before a certain deadline. 

Release of CLAT Merit List: CNLU will release the CLAT provisional merit list in five rounds for NLIU Bhopal and other NLUs. 

Freeze, Float or Exit: This is the most difficult step in CLAT counselling for UG and PG students. Freeze the seat if you are satisfied with the college. If you are not satisfied with the allotted college, float the seat to participate in the next rounds of counselling. Exit the counselling process if you are not satisfied with the seat and not willing to participate in the further rounds. 

Payment of CLAT Counselling Fee:  General category students need to pay Rs 30,000 to block a seat. Rs 20,000 is to be paid by ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD (based on the All India Category) and other reserved category candidates.

Seat Confirmation: NLIU Bhopal admission 2024 based on CLAT will be confirmed after the payment of tuition fees and verification of documents at the university. 

NLIU Bhopal Admission Procedure for Other Courses  

MCLIS and PhD: Visit the official website of NLIU Bhopal and apply for admission through the available link. Students will be required to appear for the All India Entrance Examination conducted by the university. 

BA/B.Sc+LLB (NRI/NRI-sponsored/J&K/Others): Students belonging to NRI/NRI-sponsored, J&K, etc can fill out the application of Interest available on the official website of NLIU Bhopal. 

Five-year integrated programmes in law, BA+LLB (Hons.) and B.Sc+LLB (Hons.) are offered for NLIU Bhopal UG admission. Interested students need to take the CLAT UG examination to be eligible for admission. The NLIU Bhopal selection criteria for UG courses is based on marks obtained in CLAT UG. The Consortium of NLUs is the examination conducting body for CLAT which releases the NLIU Bhopal merit lists of selected students. NLIU Bhopal UG Eligibility and Selection Criteria

The NLIU Bhopal PG admission is available for two courses, LLM and Master of Cyber Law and Information Security (MCLIS). Students applying for any of the programmes must qualify for the admission criteria first. The NLIU Bhopal eligibility criteria vary for both programmes. Studnets must score 55% in graduation to apply to the LLM programme whereas only 50% in graduation is required for MCLIS application. Moreover, the NLIU Bhopal selection process considers students' performance in entrance exams such as CLAT PG and NLIU Bhopal All India Entrance Test. 

NLIU Bhopal PG Eligibility and Selection Criteria 

NLIU Bhopal accepts applications from Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and NRI-sponsored students. One must qualify for the NRI/NRI-sponsored category to be eligible for admission to BA/B.Sc+LLB programmes. NLIU Bhopal eligibility criteria for international students is to hold an NRI/OCI/PIO card or to be sponsored by a first/second-degree relation who is an NRI/OCI/PIO card holder. 

NLIU offers admission to international students based on CLAT ranks. A NRI/NRI-sponsored candidate should submit an application of interest for seeking admission at NLIU Bhopal. There are two kinds of NLIU Bhopal application processes for students applying for different courses. How to Apply for NLIU Bhopal Admission Via CLAT Website? 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself by providing your mobile number and email ID.

Step 3: Receive an OTP on your registered mobile number for validation.

Step 4: Login using the registered mobile number and password provided during registration. 

Step 5: Fill out the CLAT application form by providing personal and educational details

Step 6: Upload all the required documents such as category certificate, signature and photograph. 

Step 7: Pay the NLU Bhopal application fees for CLAT. 

Step 8: Submit the application form and take a print for future use. 

How to Apply for NLU Bhopal Admission Via NLU Bhopal Website?

Step 1: Visit the official website of NLIU Bhopal.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Admission 2024’ tab from the menu bar. 

Step 3: Click and open the desired link related to different courses for admission. 

Step 4: Read the procedure for admission carefully.

Step 5: Fill out the NLIU Bhopal application form. 

Step 6: Send the duly filled application form ‘A’ to the official email address - admission@nliu.ac.in.

Step 7: Deposit the NLIU Bhopal admission fee online at erp.nliu.ac.in/payment/. 

Step 8: Submit the Google form attached to the notification. 

Note: This application process is applicable for PhD applicants and reserved category students (FN/NRI/NRI-sponsored/J&K) applying for LLB/LLM programmes.

The NLIU Bhopal selection process differs for all the courses offered including BA+LLB, B.Sc+LLB, LLM, MCLIS and PhD. However, admission to most courses is based on the merit secured in the entrance exams such as CLAT and NLIU Bhopal All India Entrance Test.  NLIU Bhopal selection criteria for each course are mentioned separately below.

The NLIU Bhopal application fee is charged category-wise for CLAT UG and PG. The application fee for general, OBC, PWD and NRI categories is Rs 4,000. The NLU Bhopal CLAT application fee for SC, ST and BPL category candidates is Rs 3,500.
