About PRIST University
PRIST University is a private university established in the year 2009. The university is also known as Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology University. The university has the affiliation of Bharathidasan University. The university has been recognised by the Tamil Nadu Government and the UGC. The university has received the prestigious NAAC accreditation and has been approved by the AICTE. Bar Council of India (BCI), Council of Architecture (COA), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and NCTE have approved PRIST University.
PRIST University courses are offered through eight schools of study which have been listed below:

A total of 49 PRIST University courses are offered in Science, Engineering, Law, Medicines, Arts, Management, and research streams with an intake of approximately 900 students in total. PRIST University fees structure varies from programme to programme. PRIST University has also collaborated with IBM –ICE (Innovative Centre for Education) to offer specialised academic programmes like Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and the Internet of Things. As a result, the PRIST University has attained the MHRD Innovation Council's membership in 2019.
The PRIST University campus spreads over 11 acres of land which includes infrastructural facilities such as gym, café, museum, art gallery, student service center, yoga center, health center, hostel, transportation, playground, etc.
For PRIST University admissions to the Puducherry campus, students are selected based on their marks in entrance exams. The entrance exams are different for different courses, like for admission in B.Arch, NATA score is needed, GATE for M.Tech, JEE for B.Tech, CAT for MBA, and interview for Ph.D. For some PRIST University courses, admissions are based on the marks obtained in the immediate degree for other courses.

B.E / B.Tech in PRIST University
PRIST University Puducherry offers 5 plus 2 (in collaboration with IBM) disciplines under B.Tech course. Admissions are open for full-time, part-time, and lateral candidates with different eligibility criteria. Though JEE main is one of the criteria for admission, the university conducts its test for all branches. The PRIST University fee structure for B.Tech also varies with other branches.
M.Tech in PRIST University
PRIST university M.Tech courses offer the same 5 specialization programs offered under B.Tech, in addition, tech courses are provided at the master's level too. A valid GATE score is mandatory for admission in the M.Tech for any discipline. Apart from that, they will also conduct its test during the PRIST University admission procedure.
