Class 12 marks
The Poornima University courses require the candidates to have cleared class 12 examination with a certain score that varies from course to course. The class 12 standard must be from a recognised board of education. This criterion alone will be sufficient to qualify for admission to many courses.
Graduation score
The postgraduate courses at the university require a minimum score in the graduation examination to be selected for the course. The scores vary across courses.
Entrance exams
Some courses at Poornima University require the candidates to take entrance exams. These may be the university’s exams or others conducted by other bodies. Candidates must satisfy this condition to be considered for admission to their desired courses.
A candidate should have cleared Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks (in the case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ SBC candidates, it is 40%). Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects.
For Lateral Entry
A candidate should have cleared a graduation or class 12 year Diploma in Engineering. A degree in B.Sc with Maths in Class 12. The student also has to clear Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics subjects of the first year of the Engineering Course along with the 2nd year subjects.
A candidate should have cleared class 12 with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (45% in the case of candidates who are SC/ ST/Non-Creamy Layer OBC/ SBC/Girls) from CBSE or an equivalent board.
