About Shankara Institute of Technology
Shankara Institute of Technology is run by S.K. Chaudhary Educational Trust (SKCET) which was established in 2001. SIT is located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, NH-8 at the foothills of Aravali Range in RIICO Industrial Area, Kukas, Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is a private institute, affiliated with the Rajasthan Technical University and the University of Rajasthan. SIT Jaipur is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education), MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources) and the Government of India. This institution has also been awarded the Certificate of Excellence as Best Engineering Institute of Rajasthan.
The campus has more than 4000 students with all the latest facilities. Shankara Institute of Technology Campus Facilities and infrastructure comprise a library with more than 30,000 books along with regular arrivals of 100 national and international journals, more than 120 lecture halls, Three drawing halls and Five seminar halls with a seating capacity of more than 500 people, laboratories with the latest equipment for different departments, separate hostels for boys and girls, canteen, gymnasium, playground for different sports, a health centre, Wi-Fi, transportation and banking etc.
