Overall: Potti Sriramulu Chavadi Mallikarjuna Rao College of Engineering & Technology (PSCMRCET) in Vijayawada offers a mixed experience for students. Here’s a detailed overview of the college experience based on student feedback: Academic Experience: 1. Classroom Learning: The college has spacious classrooms, but the teaching methodology has been criticized for being too theoretical and outdated. Faculty members are seen as needing to enhance their teaching skills and adopt modern techniques. 2. Practical Exposure: Students report limited hands-on learning and industrial exposure, which can be a disadvantage for technical courses requiring practical skills. Campus Life: 1. Infrastructure: The campus is well-equipped with modern amenities like laboratories, a cafeteria, and an indoor stadium. It is described as environment-friendly and accessible. 2. Student Engagement: While there are occasional events and extracurricular activities, some students feel that the overall campus life could be more vibrant. Placement and Career Development: 1. Opportunities: The placement cell provides opportunities but is limited to mid-level companies. Students pursuing core engineering streams might find fewer opportunities compared to IT-related fields. 2. Support: Career guidance and skill development efforts are considered average, and some students feel that more focus on practical employability skills is necessary. Positive Aspects: Location: Situated in the center of Vijayawada, it is easily accessible for students. Affordable Education: The college offers reasonably priced programs compared to some other institutions in the region. Challenges: Faculty quality is a frequent concern. A stronger emphasis on modern education techniques, industry connections, and extracurricular activities is needed to improve the student experience.

Placement: The placement opportunities at Potti Sriramulu Chavadi Mallikarjuna Rao College of Engineering & Technology (PSCMRCET) in Vijayawada are moderate and vary depending on the department and individual student efforts. Here's an analysis of the placement scenario based on student reviews and publicly available data: Key Aspects of Placements: 1. Placement Cell: PSCMRCET has a dedicated placement cell that organizes recruitment drives, skill development programs, and training sessions. However, students feel that the placement cell could focus more on preparing students for competitive job roles and higher industry standards. 2. Companies Visiting the Campus: Most recruiters are mid-level IT companies, with occasional visits from core engineering companies. Companies like L&T and a few local firms have been known to participate in placements, though opportunities in core fields are limited. 3. Placement Rates: Placement rates are higher for branches like Computer Science and Information Technology compared to core engineering branches like Mechanical or Civil. A significant number of students rely on off-campus placements for better opportunities. 4. Salary Packages: The average package offered is between ₹3-4 LPA for most roles. Higher packages are rare and often depend on individual skill sets and internships. 5. Skill Development: While the college provides some pre-placement training and soft skills development, students feel the need for more advanced and continuous upskilling efforts. Challenges: Lack of significant tie-ups with major multinational companies. Limited placement opportunities for core engineering streams. Heavy reliance on student efforts for internships and off-campus job searches.

Cafeteria: The campus has a cafeteria offering affordable food options to students and staff. 5. Sports and Recreation: The campus features an indoor stadium for sports and recreational activities. Outdoor sports facilities are also available to encourage physical fitness and extracurricular participation. 6. Overall: College environment is good, Faculty are pretty much helpful and i thoroughly enjoyed the 2 years of my MBA. College Fees is nominal and affordable. I suggest students to take Finance & Marketing in this college because the faculty dealing with these subjects are highly educated and well experienced.

Placement: I am from HR & Marketing background. Placement Opportunities for Finance and Marketing people are more when compared to HR. Not even a single HR drive was taken place in our college that is the only minus thing. But although i have got placed in 5 companies from Marketing String.

Infrastructure: I am From MBA i don't think i have right to comment on Infrastructure. Yeah but i would definitely like to say something on the Labs its very big and had soo much of learning and chit chatting over there, classrooms are not so big but its fine.

Faculty: As i have already mentioned the faculty are well educated & highly Experienced and very helpful in nature. Live examples are given to the student so that he can understand the topic properly
