Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is a premier medical institute in India. A number of medical and nursing courses are offered at RIMS. The eligibility criteria for pursuing MBBS at Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences are as follows.

• Candidate must have completed Class 12th (Intermediate / 10 + 2) from a recognized board of education.

• Candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12th.

• Candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in the qualifying examination.

• 40% aggregate marks in compulsory subjects are required for SC / ST candidates.

Those who meet the RIMS MBBS eligibility criteria can take part in the MBBS selection process of RIMS. The MBBS selection process of RIMS is as per the guidelines of the institute as well as the regulations set by the Medical Council of India (MCI). MBBS Admissions at RIMS are done through the rank / score of a candidate in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates who have scored qualifying marks in the NEET exam are required to participate in the centralised counselling process conducted by the Chattisgarh Directorate of Medical Education (CGDME). Qualified candidates must select RIMS as their choice of MBBS college during the counselling. Candidates who are allocated RIMS during the counselling must then complete the admission formalities at the institute. This includes document verification, payment of admission fee etc.

To get admission to the BSc in Nursing course at RIMS, candidates must meet the RIMS eligibility criteria for BSc Nursing admissions given below.

• Completed Class 12th (10 + 2 / Intermediate / Senior Secondary Education) from a ICSE / CBSE or an equivalent board.

• Completed Class 12th in the Science stream with Biology as one of the main subjects.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM Course at RIMS, Raipur are as follows.

• Completing Class 12th (Standard XII / Intermediate / 10 + 2) from a recognised board.

• Candidates from all streams are considered eligible for admission to the GNM course.
