The Sharad Institute of Technology College of Engineering was founded in 2009. It is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai. The college is strictly adhering to the laws and guidelines established by the Maharashtra government when conducting the SITCOE admissions process for first-year engineering students and direct second-year engineering students. Every year, the rules and regulations as well as a schedule are published by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Mumbai and the State CET Cell to outline the admissions process.
Since the Sharad Institute of Technology College of Engineering Kolhapur is a privately run, independently funded institution, all of the guidelines established for this classification apply to admission. The State CET Cell conducts various CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds to fill 80% of the first-year engineering seats, and the remaining 20% of institute-level seats are filled in accordance with section 7 rules (4). All seats for the direct second year (lateral entry) are filled exclusively through CAP rounds. After all steps in the SITCOE Kolhapur admission process have been completed, the Admission Regulation Authority (ARA) and DTE check the documents of accepted students and grant approval for the students to enrol in courses.
Candidates can apply to the SITCOE B.Tech programme online by filling out the application form available on the official website. The steps to apply online are as follows.

Every year, Sharad Institute of Technology College of Engineering in Kolhapur accepts applications for its B.Tech specialisations in Mechatronics Engineering, Automation & Robotics Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.
For admission to SITCOE Kolhapur in 2023, applicants must have earned at least 45% in their Class 12 Science (PCM) exams (or 40% for candidates from economically disadvantaged groups, backward class categories, and the persons with disabilities category who reside in Maharashtra state). To be eligible for SITCOE B.Tech admissions, applicants must have a current MHT CET or JEE Main score.
About eighty per cent of the first-year engineering seats are filled through various rounds of the CAP (Centralized Admission Process), and the remaining twenty per cent of institute-level seats are filled in accordance with section 7 regulations (4). CAP is only used to fill the open seats in the lateral entry. The Admission Regulation Authority (ARA) and DTE examine the documentation of accepted students after all steps in the SITCOE Kolhapur admission process have been finished and then approve the student's enrollment in courses.
