Overall: My name is Mudita and I completed MCom from Shyam University in 2020. I feel it was one of the best decisions of my life to choose the university for my PG degree. The faculty at the university was highly qualified. There was adequate modern facilities at the campus and the university promoted blend of theoretical and practical learning. The annual fee for MCom degree was Rs 34,000.
Placement: The overall placements of the university was good. Majority of my batchmate got placed including me. The average package of our batch was Rs 5-6 LPA. The placement cell the university was very supportive and trained us well for placements.
Infrastructure: The gigantic campus of the university had everything. Right from smart classrooms to spacious auditoriums, everything was there for smooth learning process. The university also had a library, cafeterias, seminar halls, computer labs, health centre etc.
Faculty: The commerce faculty was highly qualified. There was a blend of young and experienced professors. They were chill most of the times but were a bit strict when it came to attendance. Other than that, it was fun and learnt a lot from them.
Hostel: There were both boys and girls hostel at the campus. My hostel had double sharing and triple sjharing rooms. There was an option for AC and Non-AC rooms as well. It was like my second home and I found some real gem during my stay in the hostel.
Overall: I completed BTech ECE from Shyam University in 2023. I had bittersweet experiences during my four years at the university. In terms of facilities and faculty, the university was excellent. But in terms of placement, things were not that good, it was decent. In total, the university was good, it just require minor revamps in certain areas. I appeared for the university entrance exam for admission. The annual fee for BTech courses was Rs 86,000.
Placement: This is an area where improvement is required. During my time, the placement cell was not that active. More empahsis needs to be laid on training of students. Around 60% students from my batch got placed.
Infrastructure: The 54 acres campus of the university is home to thousands of students. The university has ample facilities including a central library, laboratories, cafeteria, auditorium etc. I used to love spending time in the cafeteria with my friends. We also used to play cricket, football etc during our lecture breaks.
Faculty: One of the best things about the university was its faculty. They were supportive, helpful and acted as our mentor for us. Apart from classroom teachings, they used to share valueable life lesson with us.
Hostel: The university has separate hostels for boys and girls. I used to reside in double sharing AC room. The mess at the hostel served delicious food. The hostel had adequate facilities for our convienence.
