Graduation from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC/ST). Candidates who are awaiting their final year results can also apply. But their admission will be provisional unless they submit proof of their graduation with 50% marks. Programs which need specific discipline or subject specialization have to be checked for eligibility by the respective institute. All foreign degrees need verification from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The application process for MBA involves applying for the SNAP exam. For this, the candidates need to visit snaptest.org for the application form and find all information related to SNAP. After the registration, payment has to be made and after payment, a SNAP Id and password will be generated for filling up the online form for SIMC Pune’s MBA program.
Candidates are required to clear SNAP and only those clear SNAP, will be shortlisted for the next stages. There will be three components in the process such as group exercise, personal interaction, and written ability test. Group exercise will basically have activities which will test candidates in areas such as creativity and innovation in team skills, time management and problem-solving. The Written ability test will have questions to assess the analytical skills of a candidate. The Personal Interaction round will evaluate candidates on different parameters such as communication skills, interpersonal skills, and academic proficiency.
Candidates need to register online as a part of the application process and for that, they need to visit the SIMC website. There is an application form online which will ask for candidate’s details such as educational details, family details, work experience, personal details. Then there is a non-refundable fee of Rs.1250 that needs to be paid online through credit/debit cards or net banking. In the next step, candidates will have to appear for the SIMC MA (MC) Online entrance exam, which is mandatory for admissions to the MA in Mass Communication program.
