Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 1999 and has emerged as one of the fastest-growing institutions of higher learning in India. It is a private college which is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It has been recognised by UGC as well as DSIR by SIRO and also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It has been accredited by NAAC, NBA and the National Resources Centre for National Cyber Security Programme (NCSP). The SSIET Chennai courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 36 courses offered to students in the stream of engineering, technology and management. All the courses at the college are offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering & Technology admission to all the courses is provided on the basis of the candidate's performance in the respective entrance exam and the last qualifying exam. TNEA counselling (for BE/B.Tech courses), GATE/TANCET (for ME/M.Tech courses) and TANCET (for MBA courseS) are some of the entrance exams that are accepted by the college for admission.
