Sri Paramakalyani College Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

The college has a splendid campus area. The services offered in the library are Book Issue, Reference Service, Question Paper Issue, Career Guidance, Book Bank Service, Current Awareness Service, Selective Dissemination of Information service and referral service. The College is equipped with a large playground with facilities to play cricket, volleyball, basketball, ball badminton, tennis etc., and also a well laid out standard 400 meter track. Provision for playing indoor games like table tennis, carom is also made. Intramural matches are conducted to encourage and sharpen the skills of the students.

The College comes under 5TN (Bn) battalion and the present strength of the company is 104. Captain M.Kumar, Head of the Department of Tamil, is the Coy Commander and under his able leadership our students are given rigorous Para-military training. They are also motivated to attend All India Training Camps, B and C Certificate examinations, Republic Day Parades at New Delhi, Thal Sainik Camps, Trekking Camps etc., They are given special coaching for recruitment into police, Army etc., In 2009, our NCC officer was awarded the NCC Director General Award for his service as NCC officer. 

Five NSS units are functioning in our college with a total strength of volunteers of 500 students. Annual special camps are conducted every year for the NSS volunteers in nearby places wherein students are exposed to various social activities. Experts and scholars are invited during the camps to address the students as an awareness programs. 

Other activities are Campus cleaning, Tree planting and Creating social/health awareness among the Public. Two volunteers in the last three years have attended Republic Day Parade. One of the NSS Program officers is in charge of Red Ribbon Club. One volunteer has been awareded as a State Level Best Volunteer during 2012 - 2013.

• The Primary motto of R.R.C is to guide and develop the youth of India. R.R.C is effectively involved in creating awareness among the public and especially among the youth regarding the spreading of HIV.AIDS and its effects on the society. 
• R.R.Cis also actively involved in personality development activities among the college students to enhance their personality. 
• It educates the youth regarding sex related problems. R.R.C regularly conducts programmes to promote physical as well as psychological health among the youth.
• R.R.C is run by the NSS programme officers.

   Based on the guidelines of the Directorate of Environment, Government of Tamilnadu, our college Eco-Club is carrying out green activities in the following aspects.

1. Orientation:

Orientation to Eco-Club members towards the various important environmental days such as International Wildlife Day, International Biodiversity Day, Vanamahotsava, International Ozone Day is given and all these days are being observed by inviting people having concern with our Mother Earth.

2. Campus activities:

• Sapling plantation on important days and their maintenance
• Regular campus beautification
• Energy conservation by advising students to switch off electrical appliances while leaving class rooms

3. Community activities:

• Training on solid waste management for public in collaboration with NGOs awareness and action programmes for public.

 To address and to attend the grievances of the girl students, a women redressal cell is organized by the college involving lady teaching staff of the college. The function of this forum is listed below. 

• Periodical meeting of the students are arranged to identify problems
• Enforcing discipline by monitoring dress code and extending counselling
• To promote skills, to nurture their interest and to inculcate leadership quality, the forum organizes celebrations like Women’s day.

Two student representatives (One boy and one girl) from each class, have been elected and nominated as members of the students councill. Among the nominated members, Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary and Joint secretary are selected by convening an election. The entire process is governed by the Principal and two staff representatives. 

This forum represents matters pertaining to students during their course of study. This council also takes part actively during functions organised by the College.
