A candidate should be B.Sc in Nursing
A candidate seeking admission to this course:
a) Should have passed the two-year Pre-university examination conducted by the Pre-university Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
b) Should have done (and successfully completed) the General Nursing & Midwifery course in a recognized School of Nursing, and should possess certificates of the course.
c) Should be registered under the State Nursing Council.
d) Should be a member of the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI).
e) Should have at least two years experience in a hospital or in Community Health Nursing after completion of the General Nursing & Midwifery course.
f) Should be female, and of good health and good moral character.
g) Should not be above 40 years of age.
Should have passed two-year Pre-university examination conducted by the Department of Pre-university Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.
Should have qualified for the MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India and should have satisfactorily completed the Rotating Compulsory Internship of one year before the starting of the courses, and registered with the Indian Medical Council, and thereafter preferably served in India for a period of at least TWO YEARS in medically underserved areas, recognized as such by this institution.
Should have qualified for the MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India and should have satisfactorily completed the Rotating Compulsory Internship of one year before the starting of the courses, and registered with the Indian Medical Council, and thereafter preferably served in India for a period of at least TWO YEARS in medically underserved areas, recognized as such by this institution.
