The library acts as the backbone of the college and it is the major source for research for the institution. Research facilities are made available to the faculty and students by way of subscribing to the national and international journals, wide collection of books and statistical compilations, ICT, internet and online research resources and the college has proposed to provide online journals through inflibnet.
The Enviro Club of Thiruthangal Nadar College aims at making the students aware of the importance of growing trees, protecting threatened ecosystems, and keeping the campus clean. The Club also collaborates and works with other colleges and NGOs.
National Service Scheme laid it’s foundation in Thiruthangal Nadar College the year 2000-2001. The University of Madras rendered the approval for UNIT-I Mr.B.Samuel , Asst. Professor of the Computer Science Department was appointed as the Programme Officer in September 2011. The University of Madras gave it’s concern to start UNIT-II in the year 2004-2005. Mr.T.Prem Kumar, Asst. Professor of the Computer Science Department was appointed as the programme officer in September 2011. Programme Officers of UNIT I and UNIT II were given empowerment training at ETI, Madras School of Social work, Egmore, Chennai.
The College laid the foundation for RED RIBBON CLUB during the year 2005-2006. Mr.T.Prem Kumar is given the responsibility to serve as the program officer for the club.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Thiruthangal Nadar College was set up as a part of the post-accreditation Quality Sustenance Activities recommended by the National Accreditation Assessment Council (NAAC) in order to enhance quality in a continuous process for academic and administrative excellence. The IQAC functions as a core quality enhancing system, facilitating a sense of belonging through a participatory approach towards enhancing, sustaining and internalising quality culture within the institution. The IQAC is made up of a team of 17 members, headed by the Principal.
The activities of the IQAC unit focus on Quality enhancement, the internalisation of quality culture, and the setting up of mechanisms and procedures to ensure the prompt and efficient performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks. Training programmes are organised periodically for the faculty, the administrative and supportive staff and the students. The IQAC also endeavours to optimise the integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation and ensures the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.
The IQAC organises workshops / seminars on quality related themes and also prepares the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College.
The Cultural Association “RAGAM THALAM PALLAVI” was started in the academic year 2014-2015 with a prime vision “WE ARE HERE TO MOTIVATE”.
This Association identifies the talents of the students and offers proper training through various professional trainers from the respective fields. We give importance to both Academic and Non- Academic events like Paper Presentation, Social Awareness, Model Making, Quiz Events, Web Designing, and Creative Activities and also the On- Stage and Off- Stage Cultural Events.
The students are encouraged to participate in various inter-collegiate events and Importance is given for nourishment of Tamil Tradition & Culture.
The Representation of ”Ragam Thalam Pallavi” exhibited their talents in our college during NAAC visit, Pongal Festival, Republic Day, College Cultural Fest etc.,The association serves to be a channel to drive the students towards the path of victory.
A committee consisting of all women members at one representation from each department forms the women’s counseling centre. Problems that women students alone are facing which could not be shared or spoken in public could be consulted and counseling obtained in this centre. A spacious room for stay of women students has been provided with drinking water and toilet facility for the comfortable stay of women students. Further facilities for the women students during the period of hardship have also been made. Women students can comfortably take their lunch and take rest for a while in this centre. First aid facilities are also made for emergency need.
The Alumni Association of Thiruthangal Nadar College cordially invites the effective response from our esteemed Management from all walks of life across the world to augment all the activities of the association in the interest of the student community.
Thiruthangal Nadar College Alumni Association enjoys the unique privilege and pride of having its office housed in the College premises. Alumni members who are in different walks of life are, therefore, invited to visit 15th August every year for their alma mater, also whenever possible, and renew the umbilical bondage. Further, they may also create opportunities to share how they developed themselves under the shade of this great institution and blossomed themselves from the foundation received from the college. Above all, they could surely contribute to the growth of the institution and render their support and guidance. Particularly, accompanying the graduates to placement and higher studies where they would flourish is the responsibility of alumni. Moreover, college is proud of alumni whenever they visit the alma mater, appreciate new ventures that the officials plan to make the college better and make relevant changes in infrastructure and academia which shape up the nation.
Infrastructure: It is nice infrastructure but the environment is totally not good it seems to be bad but even though we are learning that's are headache what should do
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good enough to the college to make their future brighter.and also the place is good to the students to learn the new things in the college. And also the premises is good .
Hostel: The academics of this college is average as the students learn from the faculty as they much information regarding the subjects to the students and oftenly they conduct the test and also the exams are done in really good manner
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is about that our college is good and nice our college is best in placement and having tie up with 30+ MNCs lots of several small companies
Hostel: Hostel facility in Thiruthangal nadar college is not available because of maximum of us are day scholars so this feature is not available in our college
