UBS Chandigarh Admission Process

The admissions at the institution follow a simple procedure. The scores of the CAT exam are also considered valid for the UBS Chandigarh admission criteria. Apart from the other eligibility criteria for each of the courses offered at the institution, the scores of the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam and the Panjab University Common Entrance Test Postgraduate (PU CET -PG) exam are also considered for some subjects. The CAT result for 2022 has been released on December 21, 2022, at iimcat.ac.in.

Step 1: Visit the official website of UBS which is ubs.puchd.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself as a new candidate. The registration fee is Rs 3,250 for the general category and Rs 1,625 for the PWD/SC/ST categories. This amount may differ from year to year.

Step 3: As the next step of the UBS Chandigarh admission process, fill out the application form with all the required information.

Step 4: Upload all required documents in the asked format.

Step 5: Click on “Submit” and take a screenshot or printout of your form as proof.

Shortlisting

Once you have filled in your form, the next step will be the evaluation of your profile by UBS based on various criteria. For admission in UBS Chandigarh, students will have to fulfil all the mentioned criteria. Once the shortlisting will be done, a list of shortlisted students will be released.

Appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview

The candidates who get shortlisted will be called for a group discussion round followed by a personal interview round. The students who clear the GD round will appear for the PI round as per the UBS Chandigarh admission process.

Document Verification

The students who clear the GD and PI rounds will have to get their documents verified.

Final Calls

The students may also receive a confirmation call from the committee that looks after the UBS Chandigarh selection process.

Counselling and Admission

This is the last step in the process for admission to the University Business School. Students will be invited for counselling-cum-admissions on specified dates. The same will be notified on the official website. Students will have to appear on the mentioned dates at the campus. The detailed instructions about the documents to carry for the counselling and other details will be informed in the official notice released by the institution during the UBS Chandigarh admission process. After paying the fees, the admissions will be confirmed. The fees paid at this time will only be the first instalment.

  3. A graduate with 50% marks in the aggregate having subjects Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Application, Information Technology or Computer Science as a subject in the examination
  4. A pass in the final examination conducted by any of the institutes from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England/Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England/ Institute of Company Secretaries of India or any other qualification recognised by the Syndicate for this purpose
  5. The 50% marks in the aggregate will be calculated by taking into account the full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional papers in English and Elective subject taken together
  6. 5% Concession is applicable in eligibility requirement to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates

  1. Must have a Bachelors Degree in any stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university
  2. A pass in the final examination conducted by any of the institutes from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England/Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England/ Institute of Company Secretaries of India
  3. A pass in the AMIE Examination with 50% marks or diploma examination with 60% marks along with at least 5 years of research/teaching or professional experience.
  4. A concession of 5% is applicable in eligibility requirement for SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates during the UBS Chandigarh admission process

Master of Business Administration for Executives

  1. The UBS Chandigarh MBA admission criteria for this course is based on the Panjab University Common Entrance Test for Postgraduate (PU CET - PG) conducted by the university. 
  2. This is followed by a personal interview round. If the student has passed the final exam from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, and, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, then this will also be considered. 
  3. Two years whole time executive experience in a commercial organisation and members of All India or State Administrative/Technical Services and Defence Personnel holding administrative positions with not less than two years of executive experience will also be eligible.
