The Unitedworld Institute of Design Ahmedabad is now accepting applications for the academic year 2024–2024 for both undergraduate and graduate programmes. Students can submit an online application by visiting the institute's main website. Entrance to the undergraduate and graduate programmes at UID Ahmedabad is done using the institution's own admission exam, the UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT).
The UGC has recognised UID Ahmedabad's B.Des, M.Des, and PhD programmes in design, which are available at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. Together with other colleges abroad, UID Ahmedabad offers a B.Des (Hons.) Global Design Programme (GDP). Under this Arrangement, students will be able to take three semesters of study abroad. In contrast to the M.Des programme, which takes two years to finish, each UG course lasts for four years. Applications can be submitted to the institute online or offline.

Application Window for Admissions 2025-26 Closed - The application window for the General Category for admissions to the Unitedworld Institute of Design for the academic year 2025-26 is now closed. However, the application window for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Management Category is still open. UID Admission Process 2025-26 - UID's two-tier evaluation process for admission involves: Tier-I: UID DAT 2025 in online mode on 25th January 2025. Tier-II: Ahmedabad Campus will have an offline situation test and portfolio evaluation from 27th March to 10th April 2025; NCR Campus will offer an online portfolio evaluation and personal interview from 27th January to 02nd February 2025, followed by an offline situation test and portfolio evaluation from 02nd April to 08th April 2025.
Eligibility Criteria for UID Admission - For B. Design (Hons.), applicants must be 10+2 pass/appearing or hold a 3 years diploma equivalent to 10+2. For M. Design, eligibility includes a 10+2+3/4 years degree or a 5 years diploma, from a recognized institution. All candidates are required to achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate score in the last qualifying examination.
The UID-DAT, the institute's own admission exam, is used for UID admission 2024. (Design Aptitude Test). Both online and offline applications are available to students. There are two rounds to the UID Admission Procedure.
Several UG, PG, and PhD courses in a number of subjects are offered at UID Ahmedabad. Students can select from a variety of specialities for the B.Des and M.Des courses. At the UG level, there are a total of seven specialities, while at the PG level, there are four specialisations.
