UPTTI Kanpur is situated at Suterganj on Parwati Bangla Road in central part of Kanpur city. Well connected to the major city centres by open and wide roads, the Institute campus is about 4 km. away from the Kanpur Central Station, 6 km. from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (Jhakarkati) and 80 km. from Ammousi Airport Lucknow. The Various prominent locations such as Elgin Mill No.1, Green Park Stadium, UP Stock Exchange, Rave 3 are located in close vicinity of the Institute.  The campus of the Institute extends over an area of 20 acres. With many topographical features, numerous buildings of various natures and stature, and the campus presents a spectacle of harmony
    
in architecture and natural beauty. The campus area has been divided into two functional zones: (i) Residential zone for students faculty & other staff; (ii) Academic zone for academic buildings and workshops. 

Well-furnished four boys hostels having capacity of 320 seats and separate 60 seater girl hostel are available established within institute premises and two boy's hostels are under construction. Hostels are managed by Dean, (Student Welfare) Warden and Asstt. Wardens. Hostel mess is run by students on cooperative basis as per their convenience. Institute provides space, water and electricity to run the mess smoothly.
