EWS Quota in NEET 2024: Full Form, Rules, Eligibility, Reservation, EWS Certificate

EWS Quota in NEET 2024 was established in the academic year of 2021-'22 by the Government of India and the National Testing Agency (NTA), the official NEET conducting body. According to the rules, the EWS Quota in NEET 2024 is 10% in the AIQ (All India Quota). The idea behind introducing the EWS Quota in NEET 2024 was to offer equal opportunities to aspiring students belonging from all categories to participate in the NEET UG Exam. Therefore, the NEET UG 2024 EWS Quota is followed for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate medical/dental courses (MBBS/MD/MS/Diploma/BDS/MDS). However, for instances when the 10% EWS Quota in NEET UG Exam is exhausted, students are eligible to opt for appearing in the NEET UG Exam through the general category seats as well. The EWS Quota in NEET 2024, designed for Economically Weaker Sections, allows students belonging to this category to have a fair chance at the NEET UG entrance exam, without worrying about financial constraints.

Dear student,

According to the NEET SS 2024 Syllabus, Gynaecological, Oncology and Reproductive Medicine are included in the same question paper group. Therefore, there will be questions related to these specializations combined in the OBGYN paper. It is required to study Gynaecological, Oncology and Reproductive Medicine to achieve good scores. Students must strategically prepare because there will be mixed questions from both the sections and not studying anyone will not help in better preparation. However, Gynaecological and Oncology focuses on cancers of the female reproductive system, while Reproductive Medicine addresses infertility and reproductive health issues. Therefore, by preparing both topics, students will be able to tackle questions that may question the concepts from oncology to reproductive health medicine. A good approach to preparing will help students to cover the syllabus for the exam and stay less confused. Therefore, students will have to study both concepts to get admission to the MCH reproductive medicine colleges in India.

Thank You!

Dear student, It is unlikely that you will be able to get a private seat for MBBS in Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre with a ME quota rank of 189211. The cut-off for private seats in Vydehi Medical College for ME quota students in 2023 is expected to be around 70,000-80,000. However, you may try contacting the college directly to see if there are any vacant seats available under management quota. Management quota seats are not subject to NEET cut-offs, but the fees for these seats are much higher than for government quota or private quota seats.
