About ITI Fruit and Vegetable Processor Course

ITI Fruit and Vegetable Processor is a one-year vocational course in fruit/food preserving. The course is divided into two semesters of six months each. In this course, the candidates are introduced to topics related to food and fruits such as how to feed fruits and vegetables into the machine, how to store, how to receive and check raw materials, the operating and processing system, packing and dispatching the products, how to take samples, store them and then how to prepare and sort fruit and vegetables for processing. The candidates are taught how to handle, prepare cooking and send for processing. The candidates have to learn the machinery operations for chemical treatment, size grading, crushing, mixing, freezing, extracting juice; operating machinery for meal and feed, blending flour, sterilising equipment, and keeping the working area clean. The candidates are also introduced to work in a safe environment by taking precautions and safety measures during practical work.  ITI Fruit and Vegetable Processor is a job-oriented course that offers many jobs in the field of food processing sectors agricultural-based industries.
