The placement process at IIM Calcutta is outstanding with 100% success in almost every batch. It is possible only because of the strong industrial ties that the institute has and the potential of the candidates that get selected for the various programmes offered by IIM Kolkata

IIM Calcutta Placements 2022 witnessed a 10% rise in the total number of companies visiting the campus and a 12% rise in the number of offers made by them as compared to the placement drive of 2021. A 17% rise in the average CTC package was also noticed in the placement season 2022 in comparison to last year. More than 190 companies visited the IIM Kolkata campus grounds engaging around 479 students.

IIM Calcutta Final Placement Report For PGDBA 2020-2022

The sixth batch of IIM Calcutta PGDBA programme successfully completed its placement process with various organisations across industries participating with zeal for handpicking candidates for both data-driven and business-driven roles from a batch of 62 students in which two opted out to commence their own career aspirations. IIMC PGDBA Final Placement witnessed substantial growth, while average remuneration was recorded at Rs 26.35 LPA, with a 12.75% growth. The highest offer received was with the remuneration of Rs 42.50 LPA. The median CTC growth observed was 14% with a reach of Rs 28 LPA.

The fifteenth (15th) batch of the IIM Calcutta MBAEx programme had a successful placement season with the following figures –

IIM Calcutta Final Placement Report 2020

IIM Calcutta has completed the placement season of the current batch. The IIMC placement 2020 experienced a hike of 10% in the average salary as compared to 2019. Many students got hired by top recruiting firms. Out of all the recruiters, Consulting firms were the largest recruiters offering around 31% of the total offers made. Besides this, private equity–venture capital firms and finance-related companies offered around 17% of the total offers made. 30% of the offers were made for marketing, sales and general management roles. The salary of the top 10% and the best quartile of the batch was averaged at an all-time high of 54.5 lakh and 41.8 lakh, respectively.

IIM Calcutta PGDBA Placement Report 2018-20

The average placement package for 2018-20 placement season of IIM Calcutta was Rs 26.31 lakh per annum which was higher than the average package of the 2017-19 year. Around 57 per cent of the total offers were made from the BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sector. Besides this, 27 per cent were made from Consulting and 9% each from E-Commerce and IT/Software.

IIM Calcutta has completed the placement process for the PGP batch 2017-19. The 2019 graduating batch of IIM Calcutta recorded 100% placements, as all the 441 students who took part in placements bagged job offers from top companies. IIM Calcutta has achieved a milestone by completing the placement process for the 2019 PGP graduating batch in just one day.

A total number of 123 companies from diverse sectors participated in the placement process of IIM Calcutta and made 501 job offers. The number of job offers made by these companies is higher than the number of students participating in placements.

The average salary offered by these companies was Rs. 24.96 lakh per annum, while the median salary offered was Rs. 23.5 lakh per annum.

IIM Calcutta Summer Placements 2019

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has successfully concluded its summer internship placement process with various organisations across industries participating in the same. IIM Calcutta has recorded a 100% placement record with all 480 students of the class getting internship.

Highlights of IIMC Calcutta Summer Placement 2019

  •  The highest monthly stipend was recorded at Rs.1,72,000
  • The average monthly stipend rose to Rs. 1,31,087 during IIM Calcutta Summer Internship, witnessing a growth of 15.4% as compared to last year
  • The median monthly stipend surpassed last year's figure by 12.5% and reached Rs. 1,25,000. 
  • Top firms focusing on analytics turned out to be the most preferred recruiters.
  • All 480 students of the class got an internship during a summer placement in 2019.
  • The number of participating firms in IIM Calcutta placements grew by 13.3%.

IIM Calcutta PGDM Summer Placements 2018-19

Once again, IIM Calcutta has recorded 100% summer placements. The 55th PGDM batch of IIM Calcutta (2018-20) showed outstanding performance in summer placements. The summer placement process of IIM Calcutta 2018-19 went on for two days, and almost 458 students opted for summer internship this year. Summer internship is mandatory in PGDM curriculum of IIM Calcutta. The mentoring from second-year students helped the first-year PGDM batch to bag summer internships. Banking and Financial Services emerged as the top recruiter this year with almost 26% of internship offers. Among various companies in the finance domain, Citi Bank offered a maximum number of internships. The other major recruiters in the BFSI domain are –

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) recorded a 100% summer placement for the 2019 batch in just two days.180 firms offered roles across diverse sectors.

41% of the students were offered roles in Finance and Consulting sectors.

In Finance sector, Goldman Sachs made the highest number of offers

As many as 188 offers were made by different companies to the students of 2019

In the general management, operations and marketing categories, Coke, Uber and Aditya Birla Group emerged as top recruiters. NITI Aayog, the prime think tank of the government of India also took part in the summer placements this year (for the first time) and recruited five students. Seven investment-banking firms and five private equity firms were also among those who participated in the summer placements.
