The sixth batch of IIM Calcutta PGDBA programme successfully completed its placement process with various organisations across industries participating with zeal for handpicking candidates for both data-driven and business-driven roles from a batch of 62 students in which two opted out to commence their own career aspirations. IIMC PGDBA Final Placement witnessed substantial growth, while average remuneration was recorded at Rs 26.35 LPA, with a 12.75% growth. The highest offer received was with the remuneration of Rs 42.50 LPA. The median CTC growth observed was 14% with a reach of Rs 28 LPA.

IIM Calcutta has completed the placement season of the current batch. The IIMC placement 2020 experienced a hike of 10% in the average salary as compared to 2019. Many students got hired by top recruiting firms. Out of all the recruiters, Consulting firms were the largest recruiters offering around 31% of the total offers made. The average placement package for 2018-20 placement season of IIM Calcutta was Rs 26.31 lakh per annum which was higher than the average package of the 2017-19 year. IIM Calcutta has completed the placement process for the PGP batch 2017-19. The 2019 graduating batch of IIM Calcutta recorded 100% placements, as all the 441 students who took part in placements bagged job offers from top companies. IIM Calcutta has achieved a milestone by completing the placement process for the 2019 PGP graduating batch in just one day.
A total number of 123 companies from diverse sectors participated in the placement process of IIM Calcutta and made 501 job offers. The number of job offers made by these companies is higher than the number of students participating in placements.
The average salary offered by these companies was Rs. 24.96 lakh per annum, while the median salary offered was Rs. 23.5 lakh per annum.

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has successfully concluded its summer internship placement process with various organisations across industries participating in the same. IIM Calcutta has recorded a 100% placement record with all 480 students of the class getting internship.
Once again, IIM Calcutta has recorded 100% summer placements. The 55th PGDM batch of IIM Calcutta (2018-20) showed outstanding performance in summer placements. The summer placement process of IIM Calcutta 2018-19 went on for two days, and almost 458 students opted for summer internship this year. Summer internship is mandatory in PGDM curriculum of IIM Calcutta. The mentoring from second-year students helped the first-year PGDM batch to bag summer internships.
