About Dravidian University

For the Dravidian University admission to MBA and MCA programmes, the last date to apply for the AP ICET 2023 exam is April 19, 2023. The exam will be conducted on May 24 and 25, 2023, in an online mode. For B.Ed admission, the AP EDCET 2023 registration will close on April 23, 2023. The exam will be conducted on May 20, 2023. The application process of the university is held in an online mode. Apart from filling out the Dravidian University application form, candidates are also required to fill out the forms for the AP ICET and AP EDCET exams and appear for the same. The detailed steps of application are mentioned below for the reference of aspiring candidates. 

Steps for filling out the university application form

Step 1: Visit the official website of Dravidian University which is dravidianuniversity.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Admission’ Section or the ‘Apply Now’ section on the home page of the website. 

Step 3:  Fill out the detailed application form with all the required information. 

Step 4: Attach the documents in the correct size and format. 

Step 5: Pay the application fee for Dravidian University course admissions.

Step 6: Click on ‘Submit’ and take a printout of the form for reference. 

Steps for filling out the AP ICET form

Step 1: Visit the official website sche.ap.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Online’ and then select the registration fee payment mode. Options available include E-Seva/AP Online/Mee Seva/ Debit Card/Credit Card. 

Step 3: After registering successfully, start filling out the application form. The form would require details like student information, category, income details, etc. 

Step 4: As the next step in the Dravidian University admission process, attach the required documents. These include scanned images of passport-size photographs and details. 

Step 5: Next, pay the application fee. The application fee is Rs 550 for students of all categories. The fee can be paid online via debit card/ credit card/ net banking, or via cash. To pay in cash, candidates will have to visit the nearest AP Online Centre. 

Steps for filling out the AP EDCET form

Step 1: Visit the official website of AP EDCET 2023 which is cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. 

Step 2: Click on ‘Step 1’ on the home page of this site. A detailed registration form will open. Fill in details like name, hall ticket number of last qualifying examination, DOB, mobile number, etc. 

Step 3: Click on ‘Verify Email and Pay’. A verification mail will be sent to the registered email id. Verify the id and thereafter, pay the application fee for the same. The application fee for Dravidian University course admissions through the AP EDCET can be paid via AP Online/Credit card/Debit card. 

Step 4: After successful registration, fill out the application form with all details.

Junior Research Fellowship
  • The Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) are awarded every year by the CSIR to students holding BS-4 years program/BE/B.Tech/B.Pharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc or Equivalent degree/BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree. Candidates enrolled in the integrated MS- Ph.D program and who hae scored at least 55% marks for the General & OBC categories (50% for SC/ST candidates, Divyangjan (PWD)) are also eligible after qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR. It is normally conducted twice a year in June and December.  
  • students with a bachelor’s degree, whether in Science, Engineering or any other discipline, will also be eligible for the fellowship. This is applicable only after they get registered/enrolled for Ph.D/integrated Ph.D. programme within the validity period of JRF-NET certificate which is two years from the effective date of fellowship as mentioned in the JRF- NET certificate.
  • Students enrolled for an M.Sc degree or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. 
Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship
  • The candidates applying for this fellowship must belong to SC or ST categories.
  • The applicants must have obtained a postgraduate degree from a recognised institution.
  • The candidates must be registered for a full-time M.Phil/Ph.D course (as regular students) in universities/institutes/colleges recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act/ICAR.
  • The candidates belonging to the transgender category are also eligible for the fellowships formerly disbursed under the name of Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship.
  • The students who are registered as Junior Research Fellows receive a fellowship amount of Rs 25,000 per month (for ST students) and Rs 31,000 per month (for SC students) for the initial two years. For the remaining 3 years, the students promoted as Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) receive a fellowship amount of Rs 28,000 per month (for ST students) and Rs 35,000 per month (for SC students).
Science Meritorious Fellowship
  • The Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students (RFSMS) scheme is open to students who have registered for Ph.D in Science in universities with the status of Potential for Excellence/Centres with Potential for Excellence/Centres of Advance Studies and Department of Special Assistance identified by UGC. 
  • Candidates are provided with a fellowship amount of Rs 8,000 per month under this scheme and Rs 6,000 per annum under the contingency scheme.
