Overall: One of my cousins is in the aviation industry. Hearing about the career prospect in the industry, I joined the Indus Institute of Management Studies for BBA Aviation Management in 2022 and shall be graduating in 2025. I needed to take the AME CET exam for this programme. Admissions were done based on the AIR. So, it can be a little competitive to get into this course.
Placement: BBA Aviation students can start their professional careers right after graduating from our institute. The university’s T&P Cell conducts a number of campus drives by various recruiters from the aviation industry. Some of the roles offered generally offered during placements are credit control managers, programme managers, assistant airport managers, and airport operations managers.
Infrastructure: We have access to both departmental and central facilities provided by the university. The classrooms are big enough to accommodate all the students. The smart classrooms make the lectures even more interesting. We also get transportation facilities to commute more conveniently and safely.
Faculty: The university should hire more teachers for the department. Our department’s student strength is quite significant. However, there are only 17 teachers. So, it sometimes leaves a negative impact on our learning pace.
Hostel: There are both AC and non-AC rooms available at Indus University’s girls’ hostel. The facilities provided are also good. Still, I find the hostel fee a bit expensive. The university charges Rs 66,000 per semester for a non-AC room. For AC rooms, chargers are higher. So, I stay at a rented facility near the university.
Overall: According to me, there is no competition for Indus University, Ahmedabad when it comes to placement. They start training their students from the first year. Many companies visit the campus every month and help the students to understand the latest technologies and industrial culture. The placement cell of the college comprises highly experienced members that have been working hard to provide good placement opportunities to the students. The college conducts workshops at regular intervals with the aim of improving the communication and presentation skills of the students.
