The overall difficulty level of the shift depends on the total number of questions attempted by the students, such as the time taken to solve the questions, and tackling skills to figure out the answers, among other factors. Based on the previous year’s data for the January session, Day 5 and Shift 2 Physics subject was the easiest compared to the remaining subjects. It was rated 1.36 out of a difficulty level of 3. Similarly, for the April session, it was 1.33 for Day 2 and Shift 2. As per the previous trends, “Physics” is expected to be the easiest subject in JEE Main 2025 Session 1.

Expected toughest subject in JEE Main 2025 Session 1: The National Testing Agency is conducting the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 in January 2025. As the exam approaches near, the candidates who appear for the exam can check out the expected toughest subject for JEE Main 2025 session 1 along with the average difficulty level. The overall difficulty level of the shift depends on the difficulty level of each subject i.e., Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Based on the previous year’s trend analysis, "Mathematics" is expected to be the toughest subject in JEE Main 2025 session 1. In 2024, for the January session, the most difficult mathematics level was 2.25 out of 3, which was conducted on Day 4 shift 1.
