Students are required to pay fees on a semester basis, with different fees for different programmes. For instance, the MBA programme costs Rs 83,450 per semester, while the BCA programme costs Rs 67,010 per semester. The fees for the PhD programme are Rs 37,500 per year.

MLCU follows a strict fee refund policy that depends on the time of withdrawal from the programme. Students who withdraw before the start of the programme or within 15 days of joining can receive a full refund. However, there is no refund after 45 days of joining the programme. Keep in mind that foreign students will have to pay one-time MLCU fees for the processing, which is Rs 10,000.

  • An OTP will be sent to the student's registered phone number for verification. 
  • Upon completing registration, students can log in to their accounts and fill out the application form. 

Note: Lateral entry is available for transfer students and those who have completed their diplomas or postgraduate diplomas. Students with disabilities should indicate this and provide their PWD certificate from the state government. 

  • After completing the application form, students should upload the required documents and agree to the rules and regulations before submitting their application. 
  • Once the application is approved, students can log in and pay their tuition fees through the payment gateway provided. 
  • Finally, students must undergo document verification to receive their final admission confirmation letter.

  • Centre for Counselling: MLCU Centre for Counselling is located at Room No. 512 (Fourth floor) on the main campus. The centre aims to provide holistic development services to students through community awareness, individualised services, and tailored needs. Counselling is available for various issues, such as adjusting to college life, stress, trauma, and relationship concerns. The centre maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical guidelines while reporting abuse of minors and vulnerable persons. Counselling services are available from Monday to Friday, and the fees vary for students and professionals. Appointments can be made by visiting the centre, calling, or sending an SMS.
  • Grievance Redressal: MLCU has a formal and structured grievance redressal system for students that upholds ethical standards and fair, transparent, and equal treatment. The Students Grievance Redressal Committee is constituted with the Registrar as Chairperson, Associate Dean of Students as Secretary, and other members, including the Dean of Academics, Controller Evaluation & Examination, Counselor, and HODs/Asst HODs. Grievances related to discrimination or harassment can be addressed through this committee. The redressal process involves written representation to the concerned faculty/mentor/HOD, resolution within two weeks, forwarding to the committee, and a final decision by the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Centre for Career Development & Placement: The MLCU Centre for Career Development & Placement was established to provide students with regular career counselling from the time they join the university until they graduate. The centre aims to help students explore employment opportunities and plan their careers by gathering information about their interests, aptitudes, and abilities. The centre also provides training in employability skills such as resume building, group discussion, and interview skills. At the undergraduate level, the centre offers career orientation, guidance on choosing minors, and career planning based on personal mission statements, aptitudes, and field placements.   • Library: The library at Martin Luther Christian University is named after Dr Homiwell Lyngdoh, a physician, political and social thinker, and church leader who contributed to the study of Khasi literature and culture. The library offers a good collection of reference books and textbooks and subscribes to many national and international journals, magazines, and newspapers. Additionally, it provides computer and internet facilities, photocopying, and spiral-binding facilities. The university also subscribes to JSTOR, which provides full-text searches of almost 2,000 journals, books, and primary sources.
  • Hostels: MLCU offers various hostels for both men and women. For men, the options are Darte Villa Hostel and Jericho Boys Hostel. At the same time, women can choose from Mewanri Girls Hostel, Gifty Villa Hostel, La-Chatelaine Girls Hostel, and Carolyne Girls Hostel. The fees for these hostels vary, with admission fees ranging from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 5000 and monthly fees ranging from Rs. 4200 to Rs. 7000. Facilities include heavy breakfast, lunch, evening tea, dinner, warm water for bathing, and non-veg meals once a day. Bed and table are provided on the day of admission, and students must inform the owner one day before vacating the hostel.
  • National Service Scheme (NSS): Martin Luther Christian University in Shillong established its National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit in July 2013, with a committee constituted on November 1, 2013. Initially, only a few students showed interest, but over time, the unit grew in size and has organised over 60 programmes. The NSS Unit comprises a Programme Coordinator, five Programme Officers, and volunteers. It has adopted two villages in Meghalaya's Ri Bhoi District to work towards their needs and contribute to sustainable development.
