College without a Life

Overall: I chose this course to advance my career in the finance sector, and it provided some valuable exposure. However, I would recommend updating the curriculum to include new bookkeeping and accounting techniques, with a focus on software-based classes. Additionally, introducing modules on online market trend analysis and trading would be beneficial. The campus connectivity was excellent, offering a great opportunity to learn about various cultures. While the extracurricular activities were limited, there were several expos and festivals. Overall, my experience was average.

Placement: I had opted Master of Commerce with Finance as elective. There were 150 students in my class and all were from various parts of Kerala. There were merely recruiters during the second year who had approached us. The main is Dhanalakshmi bank who intake 8 of my classmates and the average package was 25000. There were 12 students who had enrolled to internship with 2-3 companies in Technopark Trivandrum

Infrastructure: The classes were average, and we often had to borrow chairs from other departments for additional sessions. The library, however, offered excellent facilities with a wide range of resources and references.

Faculty: The faculty members are among the best in their field, though our interaction with them was limited due to COVID-19. They are highly knowledgeable professionals. While the curriculum is generally relevant, some aspects, particularly the outdated accounting systems in the syllabus, were less satisfactory. We had to consult additional resources to stay current. The exam process was notably slow, with results sometimes taking up to five months to be released. Although the exams themselves were acceptable, the overall process was quite time-consuming.

Hostel: The hostel accommodations were quite disappointing. Many of my friends from other districts opted to share rooms as paying guests off-campus, where the facilities were more affordable. The food in the canteen was fairly decent.

Overall: I am studying in Christian College kattakada in trivandrum district and also this college is affiliated to university of kerala. This college provides different courses in different subjects including ba, bsc, bcom and master degree also.

Infrastructure: This college provides better infrastructure facilities comparing to other colleges. The infrastructure facilities includes smart and hi tech classrooms with projector and sound system and large buildings and also the college provides water purifier at every department as well.

Faculty: The faculty is quite good. The faculty helps the students in terms of study and other extra curricular activities. The faculty consist of good talented staffs as well.

Hostel: This college provides hostel facilities only for girls both inside and outside the college. But it isn't offer any men's hostel. It is highly a demerit and cons of this college. This hostel is neat and clean and staffs are also good as well.
