Selection Criteria for AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme 2025

The selection criteria for the AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme 2025 are primarily based on the applicant's eligibility, need for financial assistance, and the supporting documentation provided. Below are the key aspects that AICTE typically considers when selecting candidates for the scholarship:

1. For Degree Level:

The choice of candidates will be made exclusively based on the merit of the qualifying exam to enroll in a Degree program at any AICTE-accredited institution based on the percentage achieved of scores achieved in the 10+2/ equivalent assessment.

Method of Resolving Ties (For Degree Level):

The method to be used for resolving ties (similar percentiles) will be as follows: -

  • Proportion of Scores in 10th Exam: If the qualifying exam's percentile fails to resolve ties, a greater percentage of marks in the 10th examination will lead to a higher ranking.
  • Age: If the 10th examination percentile does not resolve ties, the older candidate will be positioned above.
  • Yearly family earnings: Should previous methods fail to resolve ties, then the applicant with the lesser yearly family earnings will be categorized as more significant.

2. For Diploma Level:

The choice of candidate will be conducted exclusively based on the merit of the qualifying examination to enroll in the Diploma program at any institution approved by AICTE, based on the percentage criterion of scores achieved in the 10th or comparable examination.

Method of Resolving Ties (Diploma Level):

The technique to be implemented for breaking ties (similar percentiles) will be as follows:

  • Age: If the qualifying examination percentile does not break ties, candidates of older age shall be ranked higher.
  • Yearly family income: If the foregoing technique does not break ties, candidates with lower yearly family income are ranked higher.
