SSP Scholarship

SSP Scholarship 2025 is a government-funded initiative specifically designed for students in Karnataka. It is offered under various departments, including the Social Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department, and Minority Welfare Department. The primary goal of this scholarship is to support economically weaker students who struggle to afford quality education. This scholarship program covers both pre-matric and post-matric students, ensuring that financial difficulties do not become a barrier to education.

Launched by the Karnataka Government, the SSP portal enables you to access various scholarships if you are eligible and in need. The SSP scholarship is divided into two segments: the Pre-matric scholarship (for students below Class 10) and the Post-matric scholarship (for students above Class 10). This scholarship provides financial assistance to students from backward classes, including SC, ST, and OBC categories, helping you pursue your education.

Through seven different government agencies in Karnataka, you can access scholarships available to students from various social groups. Some of these departments include the Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board Scheme, the Tribal Welfare Department, and others.

Follow the steps outlined below to apply for the SSP Scholarship 2025.

Step 1: Account Creation

• Go to ssp.karnataka.gov.in, the official SSP scholarship website.
• Select the "Post-Matric Scholarship for FY 2025" link provided on the website.
• Then, select "Create Account."
• After you've completed the essential fields and checked the consent box, click "Proceed".

Step 2: Verification

After filling out the forms, the relevant authorities verify that the documents given by the applicants are correct. Document verification is a necessary procedure.

• Once the process is complete, the applicants' bank accounts and Aadhar numbers will be linked. Next, input your cellphone number, mailing address, and OTP and click the "Submit" button.
• The next step is to enter the certificate's data and then click "Proceed."
• After selecting the "Proceed" option, applicants must validate the spelling of their names on the certificates. If the name is correct, the candidates will go to the next page.
• Please choose "yes" and enter the number from the applicants' ration card, if they have one. 
• Otherwise, if they do not already have a ration card, they must apply for one before proceeding with the process.
• When you enter your ration card number, a list of family members will appear. Choose the candidate's name from the list and then click the "Check" button to proceed.
• After that, create a password and click the "Submit" button.

Step 3: Student Login

• Visit the SSP scholarship official website at ssp.karnataka.gov.in.
• Choose "Student Login" from the dashboard.
• To access your account, enter your password, username, and captcha.
• After checking in, proceed to fill out the application form with all of the essential information to complete the scholarship application.
• Please ensure that you have completed all required information. In addition, please apply and upload any required documents.

Step 4: Documents Attested

• Visit the official website for the SSP scholarship to access the homepage.
• Find the "Click here for e-authentication portal (Students)" option and select it to proceed.
• The candidate must enter their Aadhaar number, solve the captcha, and click the appropriate box in the new window that displays.
• The "Verify" button should now be clicked.
• Following verification, the candidate will be redirected to the student profile page.
• After that, open the "Aadhar Consent" form, fill it out, and download it.

If you do not upload the required documents to support your application, your SSP scholarship application will be considered incomplete. To apply for a scholarship through the SSP portal, you must submit the following documents:

• Students SATs ID/ College
• Registration Number
• Student’s Mobile Number
• Income Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Study Certificate
• Previous Year Marks Sheet
• e-Attestation Numbers
• Eligible Fee Receipt
• Bonafide Certificate
• SSLC/ 10th Marks Card
• Aadhaar Number of Student and Parents
• PUC Registration Number (first-year degree courses)
• Disability Card Number issued by GOI for Differently-Abled Students.
• EWS Certificate (Applicable for only Brahmin category students) Number in the Student’s Name Starting with RD
• Recent Salary Slip/ Certificate (In case of Students Parents working in State/Central Government)

The scholars are chosen by the committee based on their financial needs. The SSP scholarship programme is designed to encourage deserving students from the SC/ST, OBC, EBC, and minority groups to pursue higher education without financial constraints. The following are the selection criteria for the SSP Scholarship 2025:

• Candidates are chosen based on their family's income and financial situation.
• If two applicants for the scholarship have the same family income, the committee will give preference to the older child in the family for the SSP scholarship.

Candidates can track the status of their SSP scholarship application by providing a few details. The following are the steps to check the SSP scholarship status:

• Step 1: Candidates should go to the SSP portal scholarship website.
• Step 2: On the home page, they should click the 'track student scholarship status' button. 
• Step 3: Candidates must enter their SATS ID, select the fiscal year, and then click the search button.
• Step 4: They can now check the status of their SSP scholarship application.
