Candidates are needed to pass the 10+2 or intermediate level final examination (or any equivalent examination) with Mathematics and Physics. They are also required to have one subject among Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology Technical Vocational subject. Candidates should secure at least a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the above-mentioned subjects. It is to be noted that the aspiring candidates are required to secure at least 60% marks in mathematics.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science B.Tech Eligibility Criteria for Reserved Category
The eligibility criteria for the candidates who belong to the reserved category varies from that of the general category. The minimum marks which has to be obtained by the ones belonging to the reserved category is 45%. However, the remaining eligibility criteria for the HITS B.Tech programme for Reserved Category applicants will remain the same.

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science B.Tech Selection Process 2020
HITS Chennai B.Tech 2020 selection process is known as the counselling process through which the candidates will be allotted with seats in the various B.Tech courses offered by HITS. The allotment of seats will be done based on marks scored by the candidates in the entrance, preferences etc. Once the counselling process ends selected candidates can proceed with the further steps of the admission process.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020 (lateral entry)
The eligibility criteria for diploma and B.Sc candidates who want to take admissions to the B.Tech courses offered by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science through lateral entry vary from each other. We have provided the detailed criteria for B.Sc and Diploma holders in the section below.
Diploma - Candidates will have to pass with a minimum mark of 50% in any of the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu. They can also pass an equivalent degree prescribed for admission to B.Tech courses.
B.Sc - Candidates should pass a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of a minimum of 3 years with a percentage of 50%. They are also needed to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in their +2 level. Students who have Mathematics as a core or ancillary subject at B.Sc level are also eligible to apply for HITS 2020 B.Tech Lateral Entry programme.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science B.Arch Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates wanting to get their admission done in the B.Arch course offered by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science should at least have a minimum percentage of 60% at their intermediate level (10+2). They are needed to have either mathematics or business mathematics as one of their compulsory subjects.
The ones who have passed 3 years Diploma course from any institute recognized by central or state government with Mathematics or Business Mathematics are also eligible to apply for the HITS B.Arch programme 2020. They must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Nextly, the candidates who have passed any other examination from any recognized university as equivalent to intermediate level will also be considered eligible to apply.
All the candidates are required to have a valid NATA score which should not be below 80 out of 200 to be eligible to apply for the B.Arch programme offered at HITS Chennai.
Candidates must also not be older than 19 years to be eligible to apply for the HITS Chennai 2020 B.Arch programme (on 1st of July of the year of application).
