Established in 1949, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, popularly known as MSU Baroda, has emerged as a well-recognised state university. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an ‘A” grade. Moreover, as per the NIRF Ranking 2022, it has been ranked 16th in the pharmacy category, 90 in the university category, and 149 in the engineering category. MSU Baroda offers a wide range of UG, PG, diploma, and certificate programmes in engineering, management, medicine, pharmacy, law, commerce, fine arts, humanities, sciences, journalism, and fine arts. As a result, the MSU Baroda admission process differs from course to course. For professional courses like B.Tech, B.Pharm, M.Tech, and, M.Pharm, the university follows an entrance-test-based admission process. For other courses, it provides admission based on merit.

M.Sc | Candidates must have passed the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations with 60% and completed their graduation in a relevant field from any recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. |
B.Sc | Candidates must have completed Class 10 and Class 12 with 60% marks with science from a recognised board. |
PG Diploma | Candidates must have completed a graduation degree with 40- 60% marks from a recognised institution. |
UG Diploma | Candidates must have passed the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations with 50% marks. |
MA | Candidates must have passed the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations with 45% marks and must have a graduation degree with 40-55% marks from a recognised institution. |
MCA | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50% marks and must have an MCA degree with 50% marks from a recognised institute. |
M.Com | Candidates must have Class 12 with 50% marks and graduation 45-50% marks from a recognised institution. |
BBA | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 45% marks in any stream from a recognised board. |
B.Arch | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 45% from a recognised board. Candidates also need to have a valid GUJCET score. |
BPA | Candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board. |
ME/M.Tech | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50% marks and graduation 45-50% marks in a relevant field from a recognised institute. Candidates also need to have a valid GATE score. |
B.Des | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50% marks from a recognised board. |
BCA | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 40% marks from a recognised board. |
M.Pharma | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 40% marks and graduation with 55% marks from a recognised institution. Candidates also need to take the GPAT exam. |
MSW | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 40% marks and must have a BSW degree with 55% marks from a recognised university. |
BA LLB | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 45% marks from a recognised board. |
Certificate | Candidates need to have passed the Class 12 examination from a recognised board. |
BJMC | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 45% marks from a recognised board. |
BVA | Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 50% marks from a recognised institute. |
