AKGEC has an active Training and Placement cell that facilitates placements of students in their final years. A total of 797 students were placed in various companies in the 2018 placement drive. The maximum placement was observed in the CS branch of the BTech programme. The institute runs many classes in collaboration with reputed organizations like Infosys to develop students per current IT industry requirements. The programme is called Campus Connect.

• Industrial Robotics Training Centre, the first of its kind in the country, established in collaboration with KUKA Robotics, provides internationally recognized and valid certification at basic, intermediate and advanced levels to the students
• Industrial Pneumatics Knowledge Centre was set up jointly with Janatics India Pvt. Ltd., to promote projects and application development for low-cost automation suitable for SMEs
• PLM-Centre of Excellence set up jointly with SIEMENS Industry Software Ltd. equipped with advanced design software suites like Solid Edge, Femap, NX, Team Centre, Techno Matix, etc.
• AKGEC set up India’s first Advance Welding Technology & Research Centre jointly with Fronius International GmbH, for conducting training, research and development in the AKGEC Ghaziabad Placements Branch Wise field of welding science, engineering and automation technology
