Our Take:
While AULC has gained popularity among students in recent years, it has not managed to secure a prominent position in the lists of top-ranking bodies like NIRF. When questioned about this, students have expressed that AULC should strive to elevate itself to the level of other private universities. They have acknowledged that AULC has made progress, but they believe that more significant improvements are needed to thrive in today's ever-evolving educational landscape.
Academia-wise, AULC follows a semester-based program structure allowing students to ingrain the essential learning skills needed for advancing their career and fostering personal development. AULC also asserts to carry out regular assessments to monitor the efficacy of educational policies, offer insights into curriculum updates and refine teaching and learning methods.
Students have confirmed that AULC follows the grading system, where their academic performance is defined by letter grades (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, F) on a ten-point scale. Both absolute and relative grading system is used depending on student’s performance in a specific programme. They further asserted that the final semester results are based on their Grade Point Average (SGPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
According to the students, AULC academia is a mix of lectures, tutorials, practicals and seminars. 30% weightage is given to internal assessment which includes class tests, MCQ tests, viva, case discussion/presentation/analysis, home assignments, projects, seminars, term papers, and attendance.
Given below are the fees charged to AULC students:

AULC has a multipurpose hall and 3 conference halls to organise small-scale events like FDPs and Workshops.
Law students have claimed that Amity Law School Lucknow has a dedicated moot court where they participate in simulated court proceedings and participate in oral arguments.

Students have affirmed that AULC has sports grounds for outdoor games like tennis, net cricket, basketball and hockey. For indoor activities, AULC has carrom, chess, table tennis and gym facilities.
As per the AULC website, there are a total of six hostel blocks with an overall intake capacity of 2,000 students. Considering AULC’s attempt to maintain safety standards, we think that maintaining regular attendance in hostels is a considerate step. However, students have expressed dissatisfaction with issues such as unclean hostel restrooms, the absence of elevators in the hostels, Wi-Fi connectivity and the lack of a free meal service.
Single rooms are the only ones equipped with air conditioning, while non-AC rooms are offered on a double and triple-sharing basis. AC hostels feature a common area with a television and seating. Each room is furnished with a bed, desk, chair, and wardrobe.
The hostel fees as mentioned by the students are:
Room Type |
Fees in INR |
AC Rooms |
68,000 |
Non AC Rooms |
1,10,000 |
Significant improvements are required to restore the canteen to its pre-COVID state, as it currently only bears remains of its former Cafe Coffee Day setup. There is a pressing need for enhanced sanitation, cleanliness, functional tables, and properly maintained trash bins in the canteen.
Amiphoria, the annual cultural fest is the talk of the town! AULC has witnessed many Bollywood stars visiting the campus for promotional purposes.
Our Take:
Maintaining attendance and having a strict in-time is a very good initiative taken by AULC. Nonetheless, a few steps that must be taken by the university are:
AULC students participate in campus interviews at the Noida campus. There's a perception among students that Noida campus students receive more favourable treatment in terms of placements. According to their feedback, the average salary package is approximately INR 4.5 LPA, with the lowest offer being INR 3 LPA.
During the 2022 placement drive, a total of 525 companies visited the campus, but only 25 of them provided packages exceeding INR 5 LPA. In the case of B.Tech CSE students, the average salary has hovered around INR 4 LPA in recent years. Additionally, students have noted that a significant portion of placements comes from mass recruiting companies like Accenture and TCS.
The Amity University Lucknow placement statistics for 2022, as claimed by the students, are as follows:
Total Companies Visited |
Total Companies offering above INR 5 LPA |
Average Salary Package |
Lowest Salary Package |
Highest Salary Package |
525 |
25 |
INR 4.5 LPA |
INR 3 LPA |
INR 30 LPA (Amazon) |
Our Take:
Even though a considerable number of companies have taken part in the campus placement drive, the average salary package is very minimal compared to the highest salary package offered. With only 25 companies offering a salary package of over INR 5 LPA, it is apparent that students have been struggling to get a handsome job during the placement seasons.
Faculty-wise, AULC is said to have the most talented and dedicated thought leaders in the country. As per feedback received from Amity School of Communication (ASCO) students, they have acknowledged the same. Having said that, a few students from other departments complained that there are a few teachers who are very rude.
Attendance has been a major issue among the AULC students, given the biometric attendance process and the rule to mark attendance for every lecture, tutorial, practical and seminar. Maintaining 75% attendance is a universal rule among Amity students that must be followed without any missteps. One notable deficiency at this university which the student thinks is a lack of effective disciplinary and regulatory measures. Despite the availability of strict rules, unauthorized vehicles and individuals with disruptive behaviour can be seen straying within the campus without any constraints.
Our Take:
AULC, with its 40-acre campus, resides in Malhaur, Chinhut in Lucknow close to the railway station. With only a distance of 24 km from from airport, the environment surrounding the campus is peaceful. Nonetheless, students have been struggling with transportation issues as the campus is located far away from the city.
Our Take:
AULC has received considerable appreciation from students regarding the infrastructural facilities. Having said that, it is certainly expensive, given the hefty fees per semester that range between INR 32,000 and INR 3,11,000. B.Tech CSE course fee is INR 11,44,000 and the average salary package is INR 4 LPA, so the ROI is unsatisfactory at only 6.5%. Taking into account students’ feedback, here are a few points we came up with:
Final Verdict: AULC is ‘Expansive but Expensive’!
