English Language Lab

The institution provides Language lab facility to enhance the communication skills of the students. Today’s world requires a student who is in good in English. It is the communication media which is needed for our students to advance their careers. The language laboratory plays an important role in learning language. It has a number of facilities to help the student to learn the language and to communicate proficiently. In the language lab the text, video and audio are integrated. The teacher will help to use the features of the language lab. The students can record their voice, playback their recording and can interact with each other and also with the teacher. The purpose or the language lab is to actively involve the students in the learning process of English. The language plays an important role in assessing the student’s speech.

• Reflection on the organization of sentence components.

• The use of vocabulary and grammar in fill-in-the-blanks exercises.

• Vocabulary practice with association exercises, which consist of matching a word with its synonym.

• Reflection on vocabulary or grammar using texts or lexical groups, in which students must identify words belonging to a specific grammatical or lexical group.

• The language lab helps the student to become proficient in using the language.

Bank

• An on campus banking facility is provided by Bapuji bank, our college bank is tied up with the Axis bank. 

• Bapuji bank is fully computerized . It caters to the need of more than 5000 students and staff. The ATM facility is a boon to the hostelites and faculty. The bank takes care of all the college transaction.

Reprography

• Reprographic facilities are provided on Campus, located in the central library, in the office and in the placement cell. The facility caters to the documentation needs of the students and staff and adds to their convenience.

Boys Hostel

The Hostel is founded in 1979 to accommodate the boys, who come from different parts of the world. The hostel now has three blocks accommodating about 608 boarders. The rooms are well furnished and the surroundings of hostel is very green and pleasant, which encourages the students to study during late nights. The students who stayed in the hostel have secured 18 university ranks right from the inception of the hostel. The hostel is having two dinning halls of North & South Indian to cater the needs of the boarders for their taste.

Hostel is known for its discipline and well managed by dedicated faculty & staff members The Hostel area is spacious as much as 4.5 acres., built up area it self being 12,877.09 Sq. feet with 200 Rooms accommodating 608 students. Hostel supports the Institute to arrange many programme.

Girls Hostel

The Hostel was founded in 2008 to accommodate girl students, who come from different parts of the world. The hostel now has one block with 4 Floors, accommodating about 270 boarders. The rooms are well furnished and the surroundings of hostel is very green and pleasant, which encourages the students to study. The hostel is having two dinning halls to cater to the needs of the boarders for their varied taste. Hostel is known for its discipline and well managed by dedicated faculty & staff members. The hostel is spacious with a built up area of 5029 Sq. mts with 84 Rooms accommodating 252 students.

The Chairman of “AMRUTHA”, Dr.S.S.D.J Ladies Hostel is Sri.A.C.Jayanna, Treasurer, BEA, Dvg .The warden of the hostel is Prof.Ramesh.S.Manoli. The hostel is well managed by a team of experienced office staff.North Indian & south Indian dishes are prepared in the hostel mess. The hostel mess is managed by the hostel administration itself. Ragging is totally prohibited in the hostel.

The hostel has indoor shuttle court, and an indoor sports hall which is used for table tennis, chess, carom board and other indoor games. Sports competitions are held regularly to encourage the students to participate in non-curricular activities.

For the benefit of the boarders a stationery shop is established in the hostel premises. A walking track is also laid all around the hostel. All the national festivals are celebrated in the hostel. The hostel is surrounded by a landscaped garden.

The boarders actively participate in the national functions, freshers’day and fare well function which are held regularly every year.
