Overall: The Chandigarh University fashion designing course, was extremely helpful, as it helped me secure a job as a stylist at Anita Dongre. The university offers a B.Sc degree in Fashion & Design. The fees were Rs 1.40 lakh per year. We were encouraged to build a solid practice through its flexible programme of study. Because of the way the programme is implemented, we were able to choose our area of interest within the fashion segment. It provided project-based & experiential learning, and had a flexible choice-based credit system (FCBCS), and offered an industry-oriented curriculum comparable with the top design institutes worldwide. The Chandigarh University placement package offered to our batch was around Rs 2.40 LPA to Rs 4.50 LPA.

Placement: At Chandigarh University, placement rates are very high. Though engineering and management departments grabbed the highest salary packages, our batch also shone among them. Almost 90% of students were placed from our batch. The highest package secured was Rs 7.50 LPA. We even got to work with some of the best designers in the world, as a part of our training.

Infrastructure: One of the largest library networks was available to us. The Chandigarh University library had around 8.50 lakh e-books and 85,000 print books. The design lab was great, it was fully air-conditioned and had features like draping, mannequins, etc. The canteen at the campus was a great place for relaxation and recreation. The prices for the meals were affordable. The canteen offered both fresh and packaged food.

Faculty: Chandigarh University's faculty for fashion design is one of the best. They were highly skilled and knowledgeable, some of them having extensive industrial experience. They introduced innovative ways to enhance the educational process. The teachers supported us students with their independent projects, particularly in our fashion design programme.

Hostel: Boys' and girls' hostels with connected mess rooms and contemporary amenities were made available to us. We had internet access 24x7, a music room, a common area with a colour TV, salon amenities, a space for indoor sports, a reading room, a fully stocked gym, and separate courts for badminton, basketball, and volleyball, among other amenities. The Chandigarh University hostel fees were between Rs 1.07 lakh to Rs 2.10 lakh.

Overall: As a B.Sc fashion design student at Chandigarh University, I have had a great experience. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, and they are always willing to help students learn and grow. The curriculum is challenging but rewarding, and it has given me the skills and knowledge I need to succeed in the fashion industry. I would suggest you come to check out the college for yourself to clear your doubts before applying.

Placement: The placements at Chandigarh University are excellent. Many top fashion brands recruit from the university, and students have the opportunity to work with some of the best designers in the world. The highest package ever offered has been Rs 54 LPA (domestic) while internationally students have received over Rs 1 Cr package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is also top-notch, and it includes state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and sports facilities. All students are able to live on the Chandigarh University (CU) campus, which is a fully residential university. The lecture halls and classrooms are large and have plenty of seating.

Faculty: Overall, the faculty at Chandigarh University is a one of the features of the university. They are committed to providing students with a high-quality education and are always looking for new ways to improve the learning experience. Especially in the fashion design department, the teachers help students with their personal projects.

Hostel: The hostel facilities are also pretty good, they provide students with a comfortable and safe place to live. There are both AC and Non AC rooms available, the bed capacity starts from 5 per room to 1 per room. The fees range from Rs. 106800 to Rs. 181200 for Non AC and Rs. 138000 to Rs. 210000 for AC rooms.
