Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad will hold the entrance test for 2nd year engineering admissions to the participating universities in the state. Candidates must meet the following B. Tech lateral entrance requirements:

• Candidate must have a minimum of 45% marks in an engineering and technology diploma awarded by Telangana/Andhra Pradesh's State Board of Technical Education, or an equivalent diploma from another state recognized by the state government as equal. Minimum scores for the SC/ST category are 40% or should have completed a three-year B.Sc. degree in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh with mathematics as one of the group combinations.

• Selective processes and the Common Entrance Examination (CEE)
• Lateral Entry programmes are available in universities and engineering colleges for students who have earned a three-year diploma in engineering, a B.Sc engineering degree, or an equivalent degree with at least 60% marks.
• The Karnataka Government administers the ECET, which is given by the Karnataka Examination Authority. In order to get an engineering seat under the Government Quota, you must first take this admission exam. Physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics are among the subjects covered by the examinations administered by ECET. Engineering applicants should first take the physics, chemistry, and math exams to ensure that they will be considered for admission. 
• The scores secured in the entrance test is also used to determine eligibility for B.Tech lateral entry admissions in CMRIT Hyderabad. 
• Students from both Karnataka and other states are eligible to apply for admission using this approach. Students who are eligible (those who match the standards set out in the eligibility criteria) should contact the CMRIT Admissions Section in order to get an application. Candidates will be chosen on the basis of their academic achievements.
• At the end of their third semester, they should have received an aggregate of 80 percent marks (or an 8/10 cumulative grade point average).

Admission to the B. Tech Lateral program requires a score from their 10+3 score card.

Candidates who meet the requirements must take the TS ECET test for first-year admissions and the TS ECET exam for second-year lateral entry admissions.

The eligibility requirements that need to be met by the candidates vary across different specialisations in the CMRIT Hyderabad.

• A bachelor's degree is required for admission to postgraduate programmes, and candidates must have achieved at least a 50% overall grade point average. However, in the case of applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks from all qualifying examinations should not be less than 45%. PGCET/GATE is a requirement for admission at CMRIT Hyderabad.
• Graduate degree in computer science and engineering
• AMIE, PGCET, and GATE: Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering/information science and Engineering or equivalent. CS
• Graduate degree in Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Telecommunication or comparable degree; AMIE in the relevant field, PGCET or GATE: EC, TE; or equivalent degree.

• PGCET selection process and management admission process are two options for students who want to apply to CMRIT's post-graduate programmes in engineering.
•  Students will be eligible for PGCET counselling if they score well on the written exam.

• At CMR Institute of Technology, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria to get admission in MCA.
• Candidate must have a BCA/ B.Sc/B.Com/BA with mathematics as one of the topics at 10+2 level or at graduation according to AICTE to pursue an MCA programme. Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 50% (45 % marks for SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
• Candidates who have earned a bachelor's degree with an average of at least 50% may apply for admission to the Master of Computer Application programme. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Category-I candidates, on the other hand, must have a cumulative percentage of marks from all years of the qualifying examination, not less than 45%. To be eligible for admission to the Master of Computer Application programme, applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree with at least a B average in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer programming, computer applications, business mathematics or business statistics.
• Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Category I, on the other hand, must score at least 45 percent to be considered. Candidates who have completed the PUC and received at least 50% in one of the topics listed shall also be considered for admission. 
• Qualified applicants who have achieved at least a 50% average in all of their degree examinations are eligible for admission into the MCA programme. SC/ST and any other group classified by Karnataka's government for this purpose from time to time, the above aggregate percentage shall not be less than 45%. The students need to score eligible marks in the following tests: MAT / KMAT / PGCET / CMAT. Also, a good track record in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the resume of the student will be an added advantage.

• Candidates are required to complete the registration form.
• The candidate must make an appointment to meet with the admission coordinator in the admission section.
• The specifics of the application cost will be sent to the potential candidate.
• As soon as a seat has been confirmed, candidates can complete the application form and submit it together with the required documentation.

• Applicants must have a master's degree or a professional degree that has been declared equivalent to the master's degree by the relevant statutory regulatory body, with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade "B" in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point system wherever grading is followed) or an equivalent degree from any other educational institution to be eligible for admission to the full-time/part-time PhD programme
• University Grants Commission may allow candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates a five percent relaxation of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, from time to time or for those who obtained their Master's degree before September 19, 1991, as determined by the Commission. 
• No grace mark processes are included in the eligibility marks of 55% (or an equal grade on any grading scale). This means that 5 percent can be deducted from the qualifying marks in any of the areas stated above.

• The CMRIT Hyderabad written test must be passed in order to graduate. 
• The candidate who has passed UGC/CSIR JRF NET, SLET, GATE, or any other test recognized as equivalent by AIU.
• In accordance with UGC criteria from 2009, candidates must hold an M. Phil degree from an accredited university.

The student can apply on the official website, and the selection is based on the scores of the UGC/CSIR JRF NET, and SLET scores obtained by the students. Candidates who have passed the entrance exam will be invited to an interview with the research admissions committee in order to learn more about the programme. 

The CMRIT Hyderabad University Level Research Aptitude Test (ULRA Test) is used to compile a list of qualified applicants for the PhD application process. ULRAT exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions. Candidate lists and guidelines for pre-registration interviews will be posted on the ULRAT website once ULRAT results are announced.
