DPG Degree College Cut Off
The admissions to all the courses offered here are based on the candidate's past academic merit, that is the marks obtained by them in the last qualifying examination. There are no entrance exams for admission into the various DPG Degree College courses offered. For UG admissions it is the 10+2 score and for PG admissions it is having a graduation degree from a recognised board and university respectively. Therefore no cut-off is released. Overall the college is great and has good facilities including, first class building, superb classrooms, fully Air conditioned classrooms, clean and green campus, excellent teaching faculty, canteen, parking area for students, department wise library section.
Overall the ambience and education quality of the college is top notch. However the fees is a bit on the expensive side. So accordingly one can decide.

The eligibility for the program at LPU is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. The journalism program at LPU offers an in-depth knowledge of the media world and necessary skills to work in the field efficiently. The journalism programs are designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic, and New Age Media. Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. which are necessary for the field of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The faculty comprises former journalists and academicians. They have good links, knowledge to equip their students with the necessary skills to be successful in their respective fields. The LPU has state-of-the-art labs and studios for journalism and film production courses.
This course is an examination of the effect and impact of mass media on contemporary life and society. The courses focus on teaching skills like photography and its technique, enhancing the overall style of the writing, elements of graphic designing in the print media and Industry needs students who can design for print as well as online media utilising various tools and technologies.
Other modules give an insight into the press laws and ethics, constitutional laws governing the mass media, constitution and government, leadership and governance process, newspaper managerial aspects of newspapers, and structure of newspaper organisation.
The LPU students bagged a package of 10 lpa this year. The average package was 3.8 lpa.
