FDDI Hyderabad was established in the year 1968 and works under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It is a public institute with a campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. The institute has received numerous notable certifications and accreditations, including ISO:17025 accreditation from DAkkS in Germany, SATRA Technology Centre in the UK, ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 Certification, and Bureau of Indian Standard Certification, among others. The stream of footwear design and production is offered to students in a total of 05 courses. Students have access to every course in a typical, offline mode. On the basis of a candidate's success in the most recent qualifying test as well as entrance exam like AIST, the FDDI Hyderabad admission is offered to all of its programmes. Candidates must have completed class 12 in the relevant stream from a recognised board to be eligible for admission to UG courses. To qualify for PG courses, they must hold a graduate degree in the relevant stream.

FDDI Hyderabad scholarships 2024 is provided above the regular seats. As per the scholarship rule, 10% seats are reserved in each programme for NRI / Industry-Sponsored / International candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. The NRI/ Industry sponsored Candidate will be interviewed and the selection shall be done on a merit basis. NRI/ Industry sponsored candidates are required to pay twice the tuition fee in the case of Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Chandigarh campuses and 50% extra tuition fee for other campuses in addition to the other components of the fee. Students from all FDDI campuses can apply for scholarships offered by government agencies as per their processes and eligibility criteria. FDDI does not offer any scholarship of its own.
