The course curriculum is advanced and then the courses syllabus are good. The courses are explained in very detailed and also encourages the students to think creatively. The exam structure is very tough and is conducted every semester.
The placements are very good in this college. There are lots of big companies and MNCs which recruit most of the students from our college. Around 90% of the students get placed and others opt for higher studies. The college also allows the students to undergo internships in various companies to gain industrial exposure.
It is a five year course divided into ten semesters.The course provides a blend of practical & theoretical knowledge to get experience in the art of planning, constructing and designing of structures.The subjects that we study are applied climatology & mathematics, architectural design and housing, interior architecture and space programming, RCC structures, buildings, architectural design thesis and many more. From idealizing and mapping to construction of the buildings, the student is transformed into a qualified architect.
The jobs profiles that were offered to students were project manager, design manager, urban planner, project architect, senior principal architect, landscape designer etc. The highest package of 18.5 lpa were grabbed by my batch mate for the post of principal architect by Arcop. the companies which regularly came to our college were Gaursons India, Architect hafeez contractor, RSP architect contractor, Somya & Kalappa consultants, C P Kukreja Associates and many more. Good summer internship packages were also provided by the college but most of them were unpaid in nature.
Our course curriculum was quite good. The curriculum was recognized by the council of architecture. Our course lasted for 5 years with 10 semesters. It was divided into 2 stages: sem 1 to sem 6 one stage and sem 7 to sem 10-second stage. We had practical training in the second stage, some of us went abroad for the training. I had the opportunity to go to France.
