GVM Girls College is well equipped with all the modern facilities including classrooms, Library, Hostel, Auditorium, Seminar Rooms, Conference Room etc. The GVM, the classrooms have facilitated a combination of traditional and modern techniques of teaching with technological aids such as blackboard, green boards and podium for faculty. The college has a well-equipped library, providing outstanding support to students. Additionally, GVM has also a computerized library, collecting a lot of text material, journals and audio-visual aids. The library subscribes to a number of useful newspapers and periodicals on regular basis. The college has three hostels namely Ojaswini Kunj, Tejswini Kunj and Mansvini Kunj. All the three hostels are equipped with all the modern facilities to provide a comfortable living to all the students. Each room is shared by four girls and every girl has her own bed cupboard and a chair with study table. RO Water and geysers have been provided to the students. The college has an auditorium, which is equipped with a big stage, two green rooms, comfortable seating, carpeting, washrooms and a podium. The college also has a canteen to cater to the needs of students as well as the members of the staff.

The three Hostels ,aptly name ‘OJASWINI KUNJ’, ‘TEJSWINI KUNJ’ and ‘MANSVINI KUNJ’ are a third home to nearly 475 students .‘A home away from Home ‘ is the basic concept of the college hostel . These hostels are loaded with all the modern facilities to provide a comfortable living to the students.

All the rooms in these hostels are well furnished, well lighted and airy. Every room is shared by four girls and every girl has her own bed cupboard and a study table with chairs.
RO water facility has been provided to the students for fresh drinking water and geysers in bathrooms for hot water facility in winter.

A temple in hostel premises inculcates religious sentiments among students. Girls from far off places like Jammu and Kashmir , Bihar , UP ,MP, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana enroll each year to study in different courses.

Medical facility has been provided to the inmates. A lady medical officer treats minor ailments and health related emergencies of the students.

The lush green lawns and grounds invite the hostellers to play badminton, kho-kho, volleyball, and many other games. Daily Newspapers and Latest Magazines are available to students for entertainment. Student host dance parties on special days and celebrate every important festival in the hostel premises.

Cosmetology Lab in the hostel is a major attraction for the students where students not only get beauty tips but also to take up vocational training in beauty business, which can also help them to be financially independent. N.S.S and N.C.C camps are held in the hostel, where students indulge in the spirit of ‘service above self ‘. Training in self-defense is given to hostel students. STD ISD Phone facilities have also been provided to the students.

Hostel mess is a lively place where proper hygiene is maintained and food is prepared keeping in mind the taste choice and proper nutrition for the students. In a spacious T.V Room, a Plasma TV has been installed where students enjoy various programs. G.V.M Hostels have perfect security arrangements where watchmen are on duty round the clock.

Intelligent students are provided with special facilities and incentives where as tuition facility is available to weak students who want to avail it. Canteens and a tuck-shop cater to the daily needs of the students. The home like serene atmosphere provided in G.V.M hostel helps the students to pursue their career and goals in a focused manner.

National service scheme, popularly known as N.S.S is an extension of the higher education system to orient the students to community service while they are studying in educational institutions, under the aegis of Ministry of youth Affairs and Sports, Govt, of India .

The Motto of N.S.S “NOT ME BUT YOU”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. N.S.S helps the students develop appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration to other living beings. The philosophy of the N.S.S is well doctrined in this motto, which underlines the well-being of the society.

In the college students also have facility to choose NCC (National Cadet Corps). NCC imparts our students with opportunities to get engaged in activities which encourage the sense of discipline and make the students physically fit, strong and mentally alert. Following are the aims of NCC which are also implementable on students who choose to get the training of NCC.

G.V.M.G.C is fully aimed at gender sensitization and impetus to women centric issues. G.V.M established a women cell in 1995 which has now turned into a milestone in the illustrious history of the institution. Our woman cell aims to improve the students of all facets for bringing out their real strengths and potentials. Under the visionary and dynamic direction of Dr. Jyoti Juneja, woman cell has scaled new heights.

We are responsible enough to holistically develop our students on all fronts of their lives. Here, woman cell plays an important role. Well-being of all students has been given proper weight and all growth related programs are in fact prerequisite to which we are absolutely concentrated. Woman cell organises talks, discussion and competitions which target to widen the mental horizons of the students. Various topics focused on health, hygiene, psychological orientation, yoga, career counseling, are oriented under the direction of experts from respective fields. The cell also offers individualized guidance to the needy students. Here, all our girls get encouragement to seek advice on academic, financial, family and health issues.

On regular intervals students are exposed to various competitions for developing public speaking confidence and for grooming their overall personality. In these competitions we also invite parents of students to discuss any issue or concern regarding students.

Rotract Club is in fact the branch of Rotary International run under the expert guidance and leadership of teachers. It is run and participated by students for betterment and uplifting society in various ways.
