Known for excellent educational standards, Haringhata Mahavidyalaya is a Government-aided college located in Nadia, West Bengal. The board from which the student would pass the higher secondary or 10+2 qualifying examination should be any of the following-

> West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

> Other equivalent State Board or council

> The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) accreditation by the DEB or Distant Education Bureau.

> Any other board should have an equivalent marking system, i.e., there should be a maximum mark of at least 100. 

>The board that conducted the 10+2 qualifying examination for students who have graduated from a vocational stream should be either of the following:

The students who qualified from the vocational stream will only be eligible to take admission in the general/program courses in the Haringhata Mahavidyalaya West Bengal. 

Criteria for Students with Year Gap

Students with no more than 3 year-gap can seek admission to the college. It means students will be allowed to apply for college or take admission in the college only up to three consecutive academic sessions in which the year of passing is included. It means students who passed their 10+2 qualifying examination in 2022 will be eligible for admission up to 2024-24 academic sessions.

Haringhata Mahavidyalaya BA Admission 2024

The candidate must have passed Class 12 to get admitted to HM Nadia in 2023. Those who want to take admission in BA (Hons.) must have: 

  1. A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or
    related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

  2.  50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at

Haringhata Mahavidyalaya B.Com Admission 2024

For the Haringhata Mahavidyalaya Nadia admissions, students must apply in the portal application available at the official site of the college. The application process is solely online, i.e., there is no chance a student would fill any offline application form visiting the college campus. Moreover, the college prefers the students whose marks were higher in the 10+2 examination for admission. Furthermore, the college prefers the students whose marks were higher in the 10+2 examination for admission. Below is the application procedure for entry to the college. 

  • The college will announce the date, and the students seeking admission to the college must be aware of the date.

Admission under Sports Quota

Candidates seeking Haringhata Mahavidyalaya admission may apply for admission under the sports quota. For this, students have to collect the form for Sports Quota, which is available for free. Students should submit this application form along with the admission form if they are willing to take admission under the sports quota. The university will not consider an application in the sports quota if the application is not made in this way. For honours courses in Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Arts, only one seat is available for sports quota in each course. For general or program courses in Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Arts, 5% of seats will be reserved for sports quota. However, the number of seats reserved for sports quota in general/program courses is 2. 

Eligible Games for Sports Quota 

There are different games for men and women for being eligible in the sports quota. For men, Badminton, Athletics, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Handball, Gymnastics, Kho-Kho, Kabadi, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Yoga, and Weight lifting will be considered eligible games. For women, Badminton, Athletics, Gymnastics, Basketball, Kabaddi, Handball, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Volleyball,  Weight lifting, and Yoga will be considered eligible games. 

Eligibility Criteria for Sports Quota at Haringhata Mahavidyalaya

Below are the eligibility criteria for sports quota- 

> Following Inter-University Sports Board regulations, all students who apply under the sports quota must be willing to take part in all Inter-University Games and sports.

> Students seeking admission in the sports quota should have participated in any of the following tournaments-

Admission to Postgraduate courses in Haringhata Mahavidyalaya

Masters/Postgraduate study programs in Haringhata Mahavidyalaya (H.M.) are offered for two subjects- Bengali and English. The seating capacity for both of the courses (MA in Bengali, and MA in English) is 50. 

Eligibility Criteria

> Candidates must earn a graduate (10+2+3) degree in their respective subjects from any university recognised by UGC. 

> Appearing students, students who are already studying in a postgraduate course, and students who have already completed a regular postgraduate course are not eligible for admission to the college. 

> There will be an 80% reservation for the students completing their graduation from Kalyani University (Home University). 

> There will be a 20% reservation for the students completing their graduation from any outside university.
